A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Otanewainuku Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—

A. R. P. Being Portion of
0 1 37·3 Allotment 1 ; coloured purple.
1 1 23·8 Allotment 223 ; coloured blue.
0 3 32·0 Allotment 224 ; coloured red.

Situated in Block II, Otanewainuku Survey District, Parish of Te Papa (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 27084.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86333, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1933.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of New Plymouth described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a street : 6·4 perches.

Being part Lot 5, Deeds Plan 5, being part Section 1, Town Belt of New Plymouth.

Situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District (Borough of New Plymouth).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86327, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1933.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Fire-brigade-station Site in the City of Nelson.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a fire-brigade-station site, and shall vest in the Nelson Fire Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 roods.

Being part Section 1167 (Municipal Reserve).

Situated in the City of Nelson. (S.O. 93 t.N.)

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86219, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1933.

Extension of Trade Agreement between the Dominion of Canada and the Dominion of New Zealand.—(C. No. 106.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of November, 1933.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Article X of the agreement, ratified and confirmed by the Trade Agreement (New Zealand and Canada) Ratification Act, 1932, it is provided that the said agreement shall remain in force for a period of one year :

And whereas the said agreement was extended for a period of six months, from and inclusive of the twenty-fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, by Order in Council made on the twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-third day of the same month, at page 1399 :

And whereas it has been mutually agreed by His Majesty’s Government of the Dominion of Canada and His Majesty’s Government of the Dominion of New Zealand that the said agreement be extended for a further period of six months :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, as affected by subsection two of section two of the Trade Agreement (New Zealand and Canada) Ratification Act, 1932, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend for a period of six months, from and inclusive of the twenty-fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, the operation of the said agreement.

Exempting certain Native Lands from Rates.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of October, 1933.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS under the provisions of section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, and as therein mentioned, the Governor-General may from time to time, for the reasons therein specified, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any part of such rates :

And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land named in the Schedule hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925.
