Ohinepuhiawe Development Scheme.
PURSUANT to the provisions in that behalf conferred upon me, I, Apirana Turupa Ngata, Native Minister, have decided to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, to the lands set out in the Schedule hereunder to be known as the Ohinepuhiawe Development Scheme, and hereby give notice of my intention accordingly.
No owner, except with the consent of the Native Minister, is entitled to exercise any rights of ownership in connection with the land affected so as to interfere with or obstruct the carrying-out of the said development scheme.

WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of the 25th September, 1930, of the Native Minister’s intention to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Te Ahuahu and other blocks and known as the Bay of Islands Development Scheme.
Now, therefore, I, the said Native Minister, do decide to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, to the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto as a part of such scheme and hereby give notice of my intention accordingly.

SCHEDULE.
THE following land situate in the Tokerau Native Land Court District: Motatau 2 Section 56: Area, 335 acres 2 roods 32·7 perches.
Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and its Amendment, fixing the Closing-hours of Fruiterers’ Shops within the Combined District of Auckland.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the fruiterers’ shops within the combined district of Auckland, comprising the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, New Lynn, Newmarket, Northcote, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, and Takapuna, and the Town Districts of Ellerslie, Glen Eden, Henderson, and Papatoetoe has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the said combined district be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m., with the following exceptions: (1) In the evening of the working-day immediately preceding Anzac Day there shall be no fixed closing-hour; (2) should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition close his shop for the whole of Good Friday then and in such case there shall be no fixed closing-hour for such shop on the Thursday immediately preceding such day; (3) should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition close his shop for the whole of Christmas Day, then and in such case there shall be no fixed closing-hour for such shop on the working-day immediately preceding such day, provided that should Christmas Day fall on a Saturday, a Sunday, or a Monday, then and in such case there shall be no fixed closing-hour for such shop on the Thursday immediately preceding such day:
And whereas I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said combined district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I do hereby direct that on and after the 23rd day of October, 1933, all the said shops within the said combined district shall be closed accordingly.
The notice dated the 21st May, 1930, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd May, 1930, fixing the closing-hours of fruiterers’ shops within the combined district of Auckland shall be and is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, prohibiting the Sale within the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, and Otahuhu of certain Goods comprised in the Trade of a Fruiterer.
WHEREAS petitions in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the fruiterers’ shops within each of the following districts, namely, the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, and Otahuhu, have been forwarded to me, desiring that the sale of certain goods comprised in the trade of a fruiterer—namely, fresh and preserved fruit (other than jam) and vegetables—be prohibited during such time as the said shops are required to be closed in pursuance of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22:
And whereas I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised in the trade of a fruiterer within each of the said districts, and that the signatures to such petitions represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within each of the said districts:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said Act, I do hereby direct that on and after the 23rd day of October, 1933, the sale of the said goods within each of the following districts—namely, the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, and Otahuhu, shall be and is hereby prohibited as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, after the hour of 8 p.m., excepting when any such day immediately precedes Anzac Day, Good Friday, or Christmas Day, and excepting also on the Thursday immediately preceding Christmas Day when Christmas Day falls on a Saturday, a Sunday, or a Monday.
The notice gazetted on the 22nd May, 1930, prohibiting the sale within the City of Auckland and the notice gazetted on the 26th June, 1930, prohibiting the sale within the Boroughs of Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, and Otahuhu, and the Town District of Papatoetoe of certain goods comprised in the trade of a fruiterer shall be and are hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.
