him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto for the period
of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended
or revoked under the said Act) in the undermentioned persons,
namely:-
August Fredrick William Dalkie,
Michael Edward Kelly, sen.,
John Joseph Kelly,
William Henry Merewether,
Antony Alexander Srhoy,
John Merewether,
William Taylor,
Hudson Steele, and
William John Routhan,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board
by the name of the Stafford Public Hall Board (hereinafter
referred to as "the Board"), with the powers and subject
to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:-

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the second Friday in each month, at eight o'clock p.m.,
    at the Stafford Hall, or at such other time or place as may
    from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting
    shall be held on Friday, the tenth day of November, one
    thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
  2. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned,
    elect one of themselves to be chairman, who may join in the
    discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote.
    The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his
    successor.
  3. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman,
    provided that two day's notice of any such meeting is given
    to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at
    such special meeting; and no other business than that so
    specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
  4. Any five members of the Board shall form a quorum.
    Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose one of their number to be chairman of such
    meeting.
  6. If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the
    seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any
    member absents himself without reasonable cause from three
    consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General
    shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member
    of the Board in his stead.
  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
  8. The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an
    annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year
    a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous
    year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a
    statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for
    such year. A copy of every such report and statement,
    certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the
    Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual
    meeting.
  9. The Board shall control the said reserve and the building
    erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall
    also afford settlers and residents of Stafford and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said
    hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board:
    Provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable
    charges for the use of the said hall.

    RESERVE 75, formerly Section 47, Town of Stafford, Block XIV,
    Waimea Survey District : Area, 10 perches, more or less.

    Vesting a Reserve in the Cook Hospital Board.
    BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
    ORDER IN COUNCIL.
    At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of
    October, 1933.
    Present:
    His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
    WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
    has been duly set apart as a site for a maternity
    home: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General,
    it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the
    Cook Hospital Board:
    Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
    the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
    and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
    and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
    him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
    National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from
    and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described
    in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Cook
    Hospital Board, in trust, as a site for a maternity home.
    SCHEDULE.
    GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.
    Lots 1 and 2 of Section 210, Suburbs of Gisborne : Area,
    2 acres, more or less.

    Vesting the Control of a Gravel Reserve in the Thames County
    Council.
    BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
    ORDER IN COUNCIL.
    At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of

    WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
    has been permanently reserved for gravel purposes :
    And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said
    reserve should be vested in the Thames County Council:
    Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
    the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
    and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
    and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
    him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains,
    and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control
    of the said reserve in the Thames County Council.
    SCHEDULE.
    AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
    SECTION 8, Block VIII, Thames Survey District : Area,
    15 acres, more or less.

    Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Mangaehuehu
    Scenic Board.
    BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
    conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery
    Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General
    of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby revoke a
    Warrant dated the second day of June, one thousand nine
    hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette of the
    ninth day of that month, vesting the control of the reserve
    described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under
    the said Act) in the Rangataua Town Board, and doth hereby
    vest the control of the said reserve for the period of five years
    from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked
    under the said Act) in the undermentioned persons, namely,-
    Kenneth Clifford Alwyn Carter,
    David Frederick Whale,
    Reuben Ralph Mildon,
    Phillip Drayton, and
    Frank Punch,
    who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board
    by the name of the Mangaehuehu Scenic Board (herein
    referred to as "the Board"), in trust for the preservation
    of scenery, and with the powers and subject to the conditions
    hereinafter contained, that is to say,-
  10. The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Friday,
    the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred
    and thirty-three, at 7.30 o'clock p.m., in the Town Hall,
    Rangataua.
  11. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned,
    elect one of themselves to be chairman, who may join in the
    discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
    vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
    his successor.
