The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932.--Notice of Cancellation of Awards.

In the matter of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in the matter of the industrial disputes specified in the First Column of the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the Conciliation Commissioner has in the case of each of the said disputes notified the Clerk of Awards that a settlement of the dispute has not been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation appointed for the hearing thereof,
and whereas in accordance with section 7 (4) of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932, every award or industrial agreement theretofore binding on the parties to the dispute in connection with the industry to which the dispute relates shall be deemed to be cancelled, and shall thereupon cease to be in force on the expiration of one month from the date of the Commissioner's notification to the Clerk of Awards as aforesaid:
And whereas the date of the Commissioner's notification to the Clerk of Awards is in each case set forth in the Second Column of the Schedule hereto.
Notice is hereby given that the awards and industrial agreement specified in the Third Column of the said Schedule are deemed to be cancelled and cease to be in force on the expiration of one month from the respective dates set forth in the Second Column of the said Schedule.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Education Reserve in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

District Lands and Survey Office,

Auckland, 21st August, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve is available for lease, and written tenders, marked on the outside "Tender," will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 12 o'clock noon on Monday, 25th September, 1933.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Hauraki Plains County.-Waihou Survey District.

Lot 2 of Sections 12, 48, and 49, Block XI : Area, 6 acres 2 roods 8 perches.

Weighted with £164 for improvements, consisting of a dwelling of four rooms, shed 24 ft. by 14 ft., hardwood access-bridge on pile abutments, half-share in 17 chains boundary-fencing, and 5 acres pasture, surface sown. Repayable in cash or by a deposit of £4, and the balance, £160, over a period of fifteen years by thirty half-yearly instalments of £7 14s. 2d.

A small holding, situated approximately five miles from Paeroa and three miles from Netherton. The area comprises well-drained swamp land and is at present in good pasture. A little blackberry. This area would work in suitably with other land held in the locality.

Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. Six months' rent at the rate offered, loading for improvements, and £2 2s. (lease fee) must be deposited on acceptance of bid.

  2. Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal for further similar terms at rentals based on fresh valuations under the provisions of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

  3. Rent payable half-yearly in advance.

  4. Lessee to maintain in good substantial repair all buildings, drains, and fences; to keep clear all creeks, drains, ditches, and watercourses; to trim all live hedges; and yield up all improvements in good order and condition at the expiration of his lease.

  5. Lessee not to transfer, sublet, or subdivide without the consent of the Land Board.

  6. Lessee not to use or remove any gravel without the consent of the Land Board.

  7. Lessee not to carry on any noxious, noisome, or offensive trade upon the land.

  8. No liability is accepted on the part of the Crown or of the Land Board to pay to the lessee any compensation for improvements, but if the lease is not renewed upon expiration, or if it is sooner determined, the new lease offered for disposal by public competition will be subject to payment by the incoming tenant of an amount equal to the value of buildings and improvements effected by the original lessee; and the amount so paid by the incoming tenant shall be paid to the original lessee without any deduction except for rent or other payments in arrear.

  9. Lease liable to forfeiture if conditions are violated.

  10. Lessee to keep buildings insured.

  11. Interest at the rate of 10 per cent. per annum to be paid on rent in arrear.
