Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALLOTMENT 452 (formerly part Allotment 351), Waipu Parish, Block I, Mangawai Survey District: Area, 87 acres, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/394, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also Allotment 462 and parts Allotment 194, Waipu Parish (being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 638, folio 178), situate in Block XII, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 13 acres 0 roods 11 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and south-east by other part Allotment 194, Waipu Parish, 1135·8, 895·6, and 1194·6 links respectively; towards the south generally by a public road 61·6, 221·5, and 222·1 links; and towards the west generally by a public road 540·4 and 486·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/660, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of August, 1933.

Resuming Land for Scenic Purposes in Gillespies Survey District, Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under the corresponding provisions of any former Land Act, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land held under renewable lease from His Majesty the King, issued under Part III of the Land Act, 1924, and the Mining Act, 1908, and dated the seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a scenic reserve:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under renewable lease as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 43 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 862, situated in Block XVI, Gillespies Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 4/669, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of August, 1933.
