PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, the Wakapatu Mining Company, Limited, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points : Situated in Sections 6, 24, and 21, Block VIII, Longwood. Commencing at a peg marked X on the left bank of a small stream in Section 6, about 10 chains to the south of the railway-line and terminating at applicant’s prospecting license No. 1839.
Length and intended course of race : 10 chains ; east and west.
Points of intake : Peg marked X in Section 24.
Estimated time and cost of construction : Two weeks ; £5.
Mean depth and breadth : 2 ft. by 2 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted : One head.
Purpose for which water is to be used : Mining.
Proposed term of license : Two years.

THE HIKURANGI COAL COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held on Thursday, 20th July, 1933, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily ; and that HENRY GILFILLAN, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between FREDERICK THOMAS BUCHANAN and MARY JANE BIGGINS, carrying on business as Hotel-keepers in the Southern Hotel, Dunedin, under the style or firm of “ Buchanan and Biggins,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as on and from the twenty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Frederick Thomas Buchanan, who will continue to carry on the said business under the style of “ F. T. Buchanan.”

PURSUANT to section 307 of the Companies Act, 1908, notice is hereby given that Simms Motor Units, Limited, intends at the expiry of three months to cease carrying on business in New Zealand.
The business hitherto carried on by the company in New Zealand will be continued by Simms Motor Units (N.Z.), Limited, without a break at the same address—namely, Wakefield Building, Taranaki Street, Wellington.

Crump, No. 24 Bridge Street, Eltham, on Friday, 25th August, 1933, at 7.30 o’clock, for the purposes of receiving the Liquidators’ account showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of, hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, accounts, and documents of the club and the Liquidators.
