ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1933.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on him by section three of the Land Act, 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations by way of amendment to the Taupo Landing Reserve Regulations, 1927 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”).

REGULATIONS.

These regulations may be cited as “The Taupo Landing Reserve Regulations Amendment No. 2.”

Regulation 7 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked and the following regulation substituted therefor:—
“7. The fee for a permit shall be at the rate of 3s. per week or part of a week.”

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, providing for the constitution of Island Councils in the Cook Islands, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint
Makahu
to be a member of the Island Council of Niue, to hold office during my pleasure as from the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 28th day of July, 1933.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Tauranga, as from the 11th day of August, 1933.
Sergeant Thomas Imrie McGregor,
to be Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Wairoa for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, as from the 27th day of July, 1933.

Tauranga Borough Council.—Cancellation of Unexercised Loan Authority.
———
In the matter of section 118 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.
WHEREAS the Tauranga Borough Council has been duly authorized to borrow by way of special loan the sum of five thousand eight hundred pounds (£5,800) for extension of water reticulation, and the consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loan was given by Order in Council made on the 2nd day of October, 1922, and published in the Gazette on the 5th day of the same month, at pages 2687-8 ;
And whereas in respect of the said sum of five thousand eight hundred pounds (£5,800) there has been raised and borrowed for the purposes aforesaid the sum of four thousand three hundred pounds (£4,300) ;
And whereas the Minister of Finance has duly notified the Tauranga Borough Council in writing of his intention to cancel the loan authority in so far as it has not been exercised ;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in that behalf conferred upon me by section 118 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, as amended by section 46 of the Finance Act, 1931 (No. 4), and of all other powers me in this behalf enabling, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Finance, do hereby cancel the authority of the Tauranga Borough Council to borrow, under the loan authority hereinafter referred to, the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500), being the amount in respect of which the said loan authority has not been exercised : Provided always that this cancellation is without prejudice to the validity in all respects of the loan of four thousand three hundred pounds (£4,300) already borrowed pursuant to the said loan authority.
