Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 17th July, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale for cash or on deferred payments by public auction on the respective sections on Wednesday, 23rd August, 1933, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Piako County.—Te Aroha Township.
SECTION 9, Block LXII : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £100. Section has a frontage to Farmer Street, and is suitable as a residential site.
Taupo County.—Taupo Town.
Section 6, Block XXIX : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £25. Section has a frontage to Nukuhau Street, and is suitable as a residential site.
Section 11, Block XXIX : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £25. Section has a frontage to Oruanui Street, and is suitable as a residential site.

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Optional Tenure.
District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 7th July, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 24th July, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, the 26th July, 1933, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any settler is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Waitomo County.—Aria Survey District.
SECTION 20, Block II : Area, 236 acres 2 roods 37 perches. Capital value, £355. Deposit on deferred payment, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payment, £11 1s. Half-yearly rent, renewable lease : £8 17s. 6d.
Loaded with £865 for improvements, comprising dwelling, whare, and two sheds, yards, approximately 240 chains fencing in need of repair, felling and grassing; payable by £20 cash, leaving £415 on first mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent for thirty years (half-yearly instalment, £14 19s. 10d.), and £430 on second mortgage, term thirty-six years and a half, half-yearly instalment £12 18s., to a discharged soldier, or thirty-four years and a half, half-yearly instalment £13 19s. 6d., to other purchasers.
The property, which is suitable for mixed farming, is situated on the Paro Road, five miles from Aria Post-office, Dairy Factory, and Saleyards, one mile from Kaeaea School, and twenty-nine miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station. Access is by metalled road from Te Kuiti. The soil is a light loam resting on clay formation, watered by springs and streams. The property is subdivided into nine paddocks, and practically the whole of the section is ploughable country. Approximately 140 acres in fair pasture, 66 acres in worn-out pasture, and 30 acres in swamp.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 23rd August, 1933, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

Whangamomona County.—Pouatu Survey District.

PART Section 14, Block VII : Area, 435 acres 2 roods 1·4 perches. Capital value, £220; half-yearly rent, £4 8s.
Improvements comprise dwelling, shed, 115 chains fencing, felling and grassing, valued at £860, repayable either in cash or by a deposit of £30, leaving £830 on instalment mortgage. Term, thirty-six years and a half, half-yearly instalment £24 18s., to a discharged soldier, or thirty-four years and a half, half-yearly instalment £26 19s. 6d., to other purchasers.
A grazing property, situated on the Raekohua Road, one mile from Tangarakau Post-office, School, and Railway-station, and eight miles from Kohuratahi Saleyards. Access by formed road from Tahoma. Easy to hilly country, the soil being a light loam on sandstone formation, watered by streams. 300 acres have been felled and grassed, the remaining 135 acres being in bush. Subdivided into four paddocks.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 8th September, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 12th September, 1933, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Levels County.—Waimate Survey District.—Kohika Settlement.
SECTION 1, Block II : Area, 243 acres 3 roods 10 perches. Capital value, £2,255; half-yearly rent, £56 7s. 6d.
Loaded with the sum of £305 for improvements, consisting of four-roomed dwelling with passage and store-room, stable, and chaffhouse, garage, yards, and fencing. This amount may be paid in cash or by a cash deposit of £45, the balance to be secured by an instalment mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent for a term of thirty years with interest at 6 per cent. The half-yearly instalment of principal and interest under this mortgage will be £9 7s. 10d. gross.
Situated on Teschemaker Valley Road, approximately seven miles from Makikihi Post-office and Railway-station, and three miles from Teschemaker School. A cream-van passes the property. The altitude is about 470 ft.; the land being undulating, but broken in places with rough gullies and creek-beds. The soil is of fair medium quality resting on a clay and gravel formation.
