We, the undersigned, being the auditors of the Auckland Savings-bank appointed in terms of section 4 of the
Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923, hereby certify—
(l) That we are satisfied that the foregoing balance-sheet
has been properly drawn up from the books, accounts, and
vouchers of the Savings-bank so as to exhibit a true and
correct view of the state of the Savings-bank’s affairs as at
the 31st March, 1933, in accordance with the requirements
of the Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923. (2) That we
have verified the cash, investments, securities, and assets of
the Savings-bank as at the 31st March, 1933. (3) That we
have obtained all the information and explanations we have
required. (4) That the manager has certified that all the
requirements of the Savings-banks Act, 1908, and amend-
ments have been complied with excepting the provisions of
sections 7, 18, 20, and 50 of the principal Act, which have been
observed to the extent that is practicable.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Naseby.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned,
John Henry Reid, of Kokonga, Farmer, and William
Edward Strode, of Kyeburn, Farmer, hereby apply for a
license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto,
the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 4 p.m.,
23/5/33.
Date and number of miner’s right : Reid, 22/5/33, 43868 ;
Strode, 22/5/33, 43869.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal
points : Commencing at a point on the west bank of Kyeburn
River approximately 10 chains below Scott’s Bridge ; thence
southerly through Sections 23, 22, 24, 14, 11, and 17, Block 8,
and Section 11, Block 12, Maniototo District, to termination
on Section 12, Block 12 aforesaid, where it runs into sludge
channel.
Length and intended course of race : 3 miles 13 chains;
southerly.
Points of intake : One, from Kyeburn River.
Estimated time and cost of construction : One month; £50.
Mean depth and breadth : 3 ft. wide, 2 ft. deep.
Number of heads to be diverted : Six.
Purpose for which water is to be used : Irrigation.
Proposed term of license : Twenty-one years.

I, ALFRED IBBOTSON, General Manager of the Per-
petual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New
Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare :

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided
    into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings) per
    share have been made under which the sum of £22,500 has
    been received.
  5. That the amount of moneys received on account of
    Estates under Administration during the half-year ended
    30th April, 1933, is £261,897 19s. 9d.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
    Estates under Administration during the half-year ended
    30th April, 1933, is £252,341 lls. 5d.
  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
    Estates under Administration during the half-year ended
    30th April, 1933, is £52,268 14s. 7d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day
    of May last were debts owing to sundry persons by the
    company—viz. : On judgment, nil ; on specialty, nil ;
    on notes or bills, nil ; on simple contracts, £107,725 10s. ld. ;
    on estimated liabilities, nil.
  9. That the assets of the company on that date were :
    Government securities, £10,850 ; other securities, £130,380
    lls. ld. ; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil ; cash on
    deposit, nil ; cash at bank, £20,951 12s. 3d.
    And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing
    the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an
    Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the
    Justices of the Peace Act, 1927

    matter of BRITISH ACTIVES, LIMITED.
    THE members of the above-named company, pursuant to
    section 168, subsection (6), of the above-named Act,
    did on the 24th day of May, 1933, pass the following resolution :
    “That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
    WILLIAM FREDERICK HILL, of Napier, Commission Agent, be
    and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of
    such winding up.”
