SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—
SETTLEMENT LAND.
Hawke’s Bay County.—Patoka Survey District.—Waihau
Settlement.
SECTION 1, Block XI: Area, 543 acres. Capital value,
£1,900. Half-yearly rent, £47 10s.
. Weighted with £610 for improvements, consisting of four-
roomed dwelling (requiring renovation), wool-shed (damaged),
cow-byre, sheep-yards, fencing, plantation, and small orchard.
This sum is payable in cash, or, if terms are required, as
follows: Cash deposit, £35; £150 repayable by forty-two
half-yearly instalments of £5 17s., the remaining £425 to be
secured by mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent;
term, thirty years; interest, 6 per cent. After the broken
period rent, first half-year’s rent, and lease fee (£1 1s.) have
been paid, no further payments of rent and such parts of the
instalments of £5 17s. as consist of interest shall be payable
for a period of one year.
Situated on the Raumati—Patoka Road, six miles from
the Patoka Post-office, one mile from the Waihau School,
thirty-two miles from the Napier Railway-station, and thirty-
five miles from the Heretaunga Dairy Factory. Access is
by good metalled road. Watered by permanent streams and
springs. Soil is free light pumiceous loam resting on clay
formation. About half the section consists of easy slopes
and flats capable of being ploughed. Subdivided into seven
paddocks. Principally suitable for grazing; has also possi-
bilities for dairying. Altitude, 900 ft. to 1,200 ft. above sea-
level.

will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at
the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, on
Wednesday, 12th July, 1933, at 10 o’clock a.m., under the
provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Sections are about half a mile from Opua Railway-station
and 200 yd. from the waterfront. Situated on a ridge falling
away steeply on either side to unformed roads. They provide
good building-sites, commanding a fine view of the Waikare
and Kawakawa Rivers.

Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or
on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Wellington, on
Tuesday, 11th July, 1933, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the
provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—AKITIO COUNTY.—AOHANGA
SURVEY DISTRICT.
SECTION 35, Block I: Area, 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches.
Upset price, £30 16s.
Weighted with the sum of £11 5s. for improvements, con-
sisting of 15 chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash
on the fall of the hammer.
Section is situated on the Alfredton—Weber Road, two miles
from Rakanui and five miles from Pongaroa. All level land
from which the milling timber has been removed. About
2 acres are clear, balance is in underscrub. When cleaned
up this area will prove a useful piece of land. Soil of very fair
quality. Poorly watered.

Settlement Land in Marlborough Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Blenheim, 7th June, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land
Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and
applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey
Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 11th
July, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Thurs-
day, 13th July, 1933, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend, he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—
SETTLEMENT LAND.
Marlborough County.—Taylor Pass Survey District.—Wither
Settlement.
SECTION 21, Block IV: Area, 10 acres. Capital value, £310.
Half-yearly rent, £7 15s.
Weighted with £300 for improvements, consisting of a
three-roomed house, shed, and wash-house, cow-byre, 42 chains
of internal fencing and half share in 10½ chains of boundary-
fencing. This sum may be paid in cash or may be left on an
instalment mortgage for twenty-four years and a half with
interest at 5½ per cent. to a civilian, or for twenty-five years
and a half with interest at 5 per cent. to a discharged soldier.
The property, which is situated about two miles from
Blenheim Post-office by good road, is suitable for a poultry
farm or as a home for a man with other employment. Soil
is of very light clayey nature. Borough water-supply
available.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral
run will be offered for license by public auction at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at 11 o’clock a.m.
on Wednesday, 12th July, 1933, under the provisions of
Part VI of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Southland County.
PART Run 525, Hokonui Survey District. Area, 737 acres.
Upset annual rental, £25. Term: 13 years 7 months.
Weighted with £42 for improvements, consisting of half
share of 140 chains of boundary-fencing. This sum is payable
in cash.
The run is situated fourteen miles from Riversdale Railway-
station, twelve miles of which are by metalled road and the
remaining two miles unformed. The land is medium quality
pastoral country, fairly well covered with silver tussock and
native grasses. The altitude ranges from 1,000 ft. to 2,000 ft.
above sea-level, and a considerable portion of the run is
suitable for summer grazing only.
Special Condition.—The rental is subject to a remission of
25 per cent. for a period of two years, after payment of first
half-year’s rent.
