HENRY LOFTUS PRIMROSE, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Gisborne Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and regulations thereunder, the result of the poll taken by me on the 18th day of May, 1933, for the election of a member of the Gisborne Land Board, to be as follows :-

CROWN LANDS NOTICE.
Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 22nd May, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Monday, 19th June, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 21st June, 1933, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT,-NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.
Rodney County.-Hoteo Parish.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for two years.)
ALLOTMENT 101 : Area, 247 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £65. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £1 6s. Allotment 102 : Area, 232 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £60. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £1 4s.
The sections, which are unimproved, are situated about midway between Warkworth and Wellsford, on the Warkworth-Port Albert Road. Access is from the Wayby Railway-station, about five miles and a half distant by formed road (unmetalled). The country consists of steep broken unplough-able spurs in fern and scrub, with blackberry and a little light bush in the gullies. The soil is very poor, red clay, resting on sandstone formation-well watered by running streams. Altitude 500 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT,-SECOND-CLASS LAND. Great Barrier Island County.-Aotea Parish.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for four years.)
ALLOTMENT 93 : Area, 72 acres 1 rood 4 perches. Capital value, £25. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, 10s. Allotment 94 : Area, 414 acres 0 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £215. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £4 6s. Allotment 95 : Area, 372 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £95. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £1 18s.
Allotment 93.-Situated near the Kaitoke Beach on the east coast of Great Barrier Island, access being from Whangaparapara by four miles of formed cart-track and two miles of unformed track. About three-quarters of the area is level, one-third of which is cf a sandy nature, and two-thirds comprises swamp in rushes and wiwi.
Allotment 94.-Situated near the Kaitoke Beach on the east coast of Great Barrier Island, access being from Okupu about three miles distant by an unformed road, or from Whangaparapara by four miles of formed cart-track and two miles of unformed track. About 150 acres comprise rush and wiwi swamp, the balance being hilly in fern and manuka scrub. The soil is of poor-quality clay on the hills, and is peaty in the swamp. Elevation 25 ft. to 350 ft. above sea-level.
Allotment 95.-Situated about the middle of Great Barrier Island between Blind Bay and the east coast, access being from Okupu by two miles of unformed road. Steep, hilly section in manuka and fern-very little ploughable land. About 15 acres on the southern end are in manuka and light bush. The soil is of very poor clay, fairly well watered by streams.
