  1. Paragraph 46: Delete the rates of pay, and substitute the following, those shown in table (1) being the rates in force for period 1st April, 1931, to 31st March, 1932, those in table (2) being the rates in force with effect from 1st April, 1932, for personnel enlisted prior to 1st June, 1932, and those in table (3) being the rates for personnel enlisted on or after 1st June, 1932:—

NOTE.—(a) After 31st March, 1933, the “single” rates of pay shown in table 2 shall become the flat rates for both single and married personnel enlisted prior to 1st June, 1932, provided that any such member married on or prior to 31st March, 1933, may continue to receive the married rate he was receiving on that date until such time as he becomes eligible by promotion for a higher rate under the “flat rate” scale hereby laid down, and provided also that he is supporting his wife and/or children under eighteen years of age.

  1. Paragraph 46A is hereby revoked.

  2. Paragraph 47 is hereby revoked, and the following substituted:—

“47. The following shall be the rates of pay for warrant officers, non-commissioned officers, and men of all units of the New Zealand Permanent Forces, except as provided in paragraphs 46, 47A, 47B, and 47C, those in table (1) being the rates in force for period 1st April, 1931, to 31st March, 1932, those in table (2) being the rates in force with effect from 1st April, 1932, for personnel enlisted prior to 1st June, 1932, and those in table (3) being the rates for personnel enlisted on or after 1st June, 1932.

NOTES.—(a) After 31st March, 1933, the “single” rates of pay shown in table (2) shall become the “flat rates” for both single and married personnel enlisted prior to 1st June, 1932, provided that any such member married on or prior to 31st March, 1933, may continue to receive the married rate he was receiving on that date until such time as he qualifies by promotion for a higher rate under the “flat rate” scale hereby laid down, and provided also that he is supporting his wife and/or children under eighteen years of age.

(b) Gunners and drivers of the Royal New Zealand Artillery enlisted prior to 1st June, 1931, may continue to receive 5d. per diem proficiency pay provided they qualify for same by examination each year.
