A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Pirongia Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 3 acres 1 rood 19·2 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotments 74, 87A, and 323, Mangapiko Parish.
Situated in Block IV, Pirongia Survey District. (S.O. plan 26632.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/285, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2612, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1933.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that William Michael O'Connor, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Postmaster at Utiku, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of January, 1933.

THE WELLINGTON EAST COAST MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant H. G. Witters, from the Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 13th September, 1929. Dated 18th November, 1932.
THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Captain J. B. S. Lockhart, Regimental Supernumerary List, is posted to the 13th Coast Battery. Dated 8th December, 1932.
Lieutenant G. F. Falek, 20th Light Battery, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 9th December, 1932.
Lieutenant N. A. Stephenson ceases to be posted to the 13th Coast Battery, and is posted to the 15th Coast Battery. Dated 20th December, 1932.
Lois Howie Veale to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 9th Field Battery. Dated 14th September, 1932.
The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 73, dated 24th November, 1932, relative to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenants D. Stonehouse and J. F. Tasker, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted :—
“ The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants, and are posted to the 8th Field Battery. Dated 14th September, 1932 :—
“ James Francis Tasker.
“ Douglas Stonehouse.”
THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.
Major J. H. Ansell, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 23rd December, 1932.

Lieutenant J. H. Torlesse, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 23rd December, 1932.
James Banbury Clive Geere-Watson, to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 14th September, 1932.
THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant H. G. Witters, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles. Dated 18th November, 1932.
THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
The undermentioned Lieutenants, 1st Battalion, to be Captains :—
