Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.—Manukau County Council.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 109 of the Counties Act, 1920, to approve of so much of the by-laws made by the Manukau County Council on the 20th day of December, 1932, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the County Fund for the licensing of vehicles plying for hire.

Empire Day to be observed as a Holiday on King’s Birthday.

EMPIRE DAY will be celebrated on Saturday, the 3rd June, 1933, in conjunction with the anniversary of the birthday of His Majesty the King, and that day will be observed as a public holiday in the Government Offices throughout the Dominion.

Taieri River Trust.
WHEREAS by Warrant dated the 27th day of April, 1921, and published in Gazette No. 43 of the 5th day of the following month, Robert Thomas Sadd, Esquire, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, was appointed a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust, in terms of section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act, 1920 :
And whereas the said Robert Thomas Sadd has resigned on account of the fact that he is leaving the district, and it is considered expedient to appoint another Commissioner in lieu of the said Robert Thomas Sadd :
Now, therefore, I, John Bitchener, the Minister of Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby cancel the appointment of the said Robert Thomas Sadd to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust, and do hereby appoint
Robert Brown Tennent, Esquire,
Fields Superintendent, Agriculture Department, Dunedin, to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust.

Name removed from Commission of the Peace.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, to direct the removal of the name of

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.
I, ROY FELLOWES BAIRD, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Bluff Hill Croquet Club, Incorporated, and the Woodville Rabbit Trust Association, Incorporated, are no longer in operation, the aforesaid societies are hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

Notice to make Returns of Income under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and Amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the above Act and the regulations made thereunder, every person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, having derived income within the meaning of the said Act during the year ending 31st March, 1933, from any source, or by any means which is made the subject of taxation under the said Act or any amendment thereof, is hereby required to make and furnish to me, in the prescribed form, returns of such income on or before the 1st day of June, 1933.
In cases where the Commissioner has agreed to accept returns for twelve months ending at a date subsequent to the 31st March, such returns shall be made within two months after such subsequent date.
And, further, notice is hereby given that such returns shall in all cases be delivered at or forwarded to the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, in the Government Buildings, at Wellington C. 1.
