  1. If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

  2. The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  3. The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

HUATOKI SCENIC RESERVE.—TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 4s, Huatoki Settlement, Block V, Paritutu Survey District: Area, 9 acres 3 roods 15 perches.

Member of Masseurs Registration Board appointed.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Masseurs Registration Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Louise Elizabeth Brandon, A.R.R.C., N.Z.R.N., I.S.T.M., to be a member of the Masseurs Registration Board under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of May, 1933.

Appointing a Member of the Foxton Harbour Board.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a Harbour Board the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:

And whereas Robert Edwards, a non-elective member of the Foxton Harbour Board, is deceased, and an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has thereby been created, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint Francis Campbell Raikes to be a member of the Foxton Harbour Board in the place of the said Robert Edwards, deceased.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of May, 1933.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant F. C. Rawle, 20th Light Battery, to be Captain. Dated 14th December, 1932.

Eric Ivan Henton to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 3rd Field Battery. Dated 13th April, 1933.

Hilmer Frank Davie to be Bandmaster, Southern Artillery Group, and is granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 4th April, 1933.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).

Captain W. H. Fortune, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 7th April, 1933.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant E. W. Seville ceases to be posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 4th April, 1933.

THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.

Lieutenant J. T. Hill, v.d., 3rd Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 3, under para. 164, N.Z. Regulations. Dated 11th March, 1933.

The seniority of 2nd Lieutenant R. W. Harding, M.M., 1st Battalion, is antedated to 16th May, 1931.

The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants, and are posted to the 1st Battalion:—

Charles Alfred Clements. Dated 16th September, 1932.
Aubrey Harold Hitchcock. Dated 17th September, 1932.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

Lieutenant H. W. Wotton, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 10th April, 1933.

Walter Wynne Mason to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st November, 1932.

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.

Lieutenant H. W. Wotton, from the Wellington Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 4th November, 1931, and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 10th April, 1933.
