authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby determine that the date on and from which the duties provided for in Part I of the said Act shall be in force in the Cook Islands shall be the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, provided that such duties shall be so in force subject to the following modification—namely, that the duty payable on black twist tobacco shall, notwithstanding this Order in Council, continue to be the duty provided for in the Order in Council made pursuant to section nine of the Customs Amendment Act, 1927, on the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section sixty-six of the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Act, 1931 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purpose of the said Act.
REGULATIONS.
LAND AGENTS’ AND AUCTIONEERS’ LICENSES.
THE regulations made under the said Act on the 17th day of August, 1931, and published in the Gazette on the 20th day of the same month, at page 2314, as amended by the regulations made under the said Act on the 10th day of February, 1932, and 5th day of July, 1932, and published respectively in the Gazette on the 18th day of February, 1932, at page 320, and 14th day of July, 1932, at page 1648, with respect to land agents’ and auctioneers’ licenses, shall, in so far as they apply to licenses in the Magistrates’ Court at Wairoa, be deemed to have continued in force and to remain in force until the 31st day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.

Order in Council discharging from Office the Special Committee of Management of the Napier Borough.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1933.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS under the authority conferred by section forty-nine of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Napier Borough Council, on the second day of March, nineteen hundred and thirty-one, appointed John Saxon Barton, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, and Lachlan Bain Campbell, Esquire, Inspecting Engineer, Department of Public Works, to be a special Committee of Management (hereinafter referred to as “the said Committee”), and delegated to the said Committee all the powers and duties by such Act conferred or imposed upon the Council, except the powers expressly excepted from the authority to delegate conferred by the said section forty-nine:
And whereas by section 64 of the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Act, 1931 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), further provision was made with respect to the said Committee, and it was therein, inter alia, provided that the Governor-General might at any time by Order in Council discharge the said Committee as from a date to be specified in the Order in Council:

And whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 62 of the said Act an election of a new Mayor of the said Borough of Napier is to be held on the first Wednesday in May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and it is expedient that on the coming into office of the Mayor so elected the said Committee should be discharged from office:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 64 (5) of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby discharge the said Committee on and from the first Wednesday following the aforesaid election of the new Mayor of the said Borough.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Settlement Board, referred to in section four hundred and forty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931, as modified by section seven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1932, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
