Notice to Mariners No. 1 of 1933.
AUSTRALIA.—CAUTION REGARDING NAVAL EXERCISES AND FIRING PRACTICES.

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that firing and other practices may be carried out by ships of H.M. Australian Navy in areas adjacent to the following ports :—
    Port Phillip.
    Port Hobart.
    Port Jackson.
  2. H.M.A. ships engaged in target practice fly a large blue flag at the mast-head. Masters of merchant ships are requested to keep clear of warships flying this flag.
  3. Due warning will be given by local authorities of any night practices, and of practices involving the firing of heavy guns by day.

Notice to Mariners No. 4 of 1933.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—BAY OF ISLANDS.
Whale Rock Buoy adrift.
MARINERS are hereby warned that the large iron buoy marking Whale Rock (lat. 35° 11' S., long. 174° 12' E., approx.), has broken adrift, and was sighted off Rocky Point on 14th instant drifting towards the Cavalli Islands.
Charts affected : 1900, 2525.

Notice that Land is vested in Public Trustee pursuant to the Provisions of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
WHEREAS by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 31st March, 1932, and in the Bay of Plenty Times on the 2nd June, 1932, 9th June, 1932, and 16th June, 1932, the Public Trustee called upon the owner of all that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 302, Parish of Te Papa, Cook's County, bounded on the north by Allotment 301, 2251 links ; on the east by Allotment 303, 1925 links ; on the south by Allotment 316,

2855 links ; and on the west by a road 100 links wide, 1278 links and 1090 links ; which said parcel of land was granted to Harry de Rozelle, a private in the First Regiment, Waikato Militia, by Crown grant dated 29th June, 1868, held unregistered in the Deeds Register Office at Auckland under Number R. 73, within six months from the date of the said notice in the New Zealand Gazette to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and stated in such notice that if the said owner did not do so, the Public Trustee would exercise with regard to the said land all the powers and authorities granted to the Public Trustee in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II, and its amendments : And whereas the owner of the said land has not established his title thereto : And whereas the value of the said land is less than £500 : Now the Public Trustee hereby gives notice pursuant to the provisions of section 67 (d) of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by the provisions of section 38 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, that the said land is vested in the Public Trustee and will be administered under the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II, and its amendments.

Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1932.
INCOME-TAX PAYABLE.
BY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Governor-General in Council on the 19th day of September, 1932, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of income-tax, leviable under section 3 of the said Act, should be paid in one sum on Wednesday, the 8th day of February, 1933, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington ; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 1st March, 1933. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues ; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund.
The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 2nd February, 1933. Demands must be presented with all payments, and taxpayers who expect a demand and do not receive one should notify me of the fact.
