Loaded with £180 for improvements, consisting of 76 chains of drains, 69 chains of boundary fencing, 40 chains of road fencing, shack (12 ft. by 20 ft.), cow-shed, 20 acres of grassing, and bridges. This sum is payable in cash.

The property is situated on the main north road from Awanui to Houhora—twenty miles from Awanui, five miles from Houhora, and three miles from Pukenui. There is a school two miles distant.

An area of forty-one acres consists of a partly-drained raupo swamp, twenty acres of which have been grassed. The balance of the section comprises sandy flats and a small swamp—well watered by springs and drains. The swamp portion is easily convertible into good dairying-country.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS.

  1. Upon possession of the property being given, the successful applicant must forthwith securely fence and thereafter maintain the main drain through the section.

  2. The Crown shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by the encroachment of the sand.

  3. All kauri-gum is reserved to the Crown.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 2.30 p.m., on Monday, 15th May, 1933, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—PRIMARY EDUCATION RESERVE.
Patea Borough.—Town of Patea.

SECTION 3, Block XIV: Area, 30 perches. Upset annual rent, £1 10s.

Term of lease: Twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal for further similar terms at rentals based on fresh valuations under the provisions of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

This section is situate in Leicester Street. There is an old four-roomed cottage thereon, but this building is very old, in a bad state of repair, and of no value.

Erua Township is situated on the Main Trunk line thirty-six miles from Taumarunui and fourteen miles from Ohakune. All the sections are level and covered with tussock, rushes, flax, and native grasses. Several sections are inclined to be swampy, but could be easily drained.

Altitude is 2425 ft. above sea-level.

Akitio County.—Rakaunui Township.

Section 19: Area, 1 rood 29 perches. Upset price, £4

Weighted with the sum of £6 for improvements, consisting of felling, grassing, and four chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

The section, which is level and in grass, is situated in Rakaunui Township, three-quarters of a mile from school and store. The soil is of good quality.

Town of Kakahi.

SUBURBAN LAND.

Section 51, Block V: Area, 2 perches. Upset price, £2 10s.

Weighted with the sum of £4 for improvements, consisting of 8 chains of fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

The section is situated in Tio Street, and one mile from Kakahi Railway-station. Approximately one rood is level, the balance being undulating and lightly covered with manuka scrub.
