Classification of No. 1 Main Highway, Waipapakauri to Wellington, via Taranaki.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Waitomo and Clifton Counties.
SCHEDULE.
WAITOMO AND CLIFTON COUNTIES.
ROAD classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6½ tons:—
Waipapakauri—Wellington, via Taranaki Main Highway No. 1.
That portion of the main highway commencing at Awakino and terminating at the Uruti Road Junction in Uruti, and situate in the Waitomo and Clifton Counties.

Approving of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the local authority described in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

PURSUANT to section 142 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, it is hereby notified that at a special meeting of the Ross Borough Council, held on the 2nd March, 1933, at the Council Chambers, Moorhouse Street, Ross, the following resolution was passed and duly confirmed at a special meeting held on 31st March, 1933, viz.:—
“That the number of councillors for the Borough of Ross be reduced from nine to six.”

Extension to French Colonies and Mandated Territories of the Convention between the United Kingdom and France respecting Legal Proceedings in Civil and Commercial Matters.

IT is hereby notified for general information that the Convention between the United Kingdom and France respecting Legal Proceedings in Civic and Commercial Matters, signed at London on the 2nd February, 1922, the extension of which to New Zealand was notified in the Gazette of the 2nd February, 1928, has been extended to the French Colonies and Mandated Territories enumerated in the Schedule hereto as from the 1st January, 1933.
In each of these Colonies and Territories the Rogatory Acts and Commissions should be served on the Attorney or Attorney-General, Chief of Justice, who will ensure their transmission to the competent services, and communications and translations are to be made in the French language.
