THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/606, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2602, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of December, 1932.

Provisional State Forests set apart as Permanent State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the provisional State forests described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forests.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL those areas in the Gisborne Land District containing by admeasurement 46,650 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, and described as follows :—

All that area containing by admeasurement 40,233 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 27 (national-endowment provisional State forest, Gazette 1921, page 2864—28,583 acres 1 rood 24 perches) and Provisional State Forest No. 61 (ordinary provisional State forest, Gazette 1920, page 925—11,650 acres) situated in Blocks VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, XIV, and XV, Koranga, and Blocks I, II, V, VI, and IX, Tuahu Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Section I, Block VI, and Sections 2 and 1, Block VII, Koranga Survey District, and Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, Tahoma 2c 3 Section 2 Block; towards the south by Lot 12, Tahoma 2c 1 Section 3 Block; towards the east by Lots 12, 13, 14, 17, and Subdivision 2, Tahoma 2c 1 Section 3 Block; towards the south-west by Lot 18, Tahoma 2f Section 2 Block; again towards the east by Lot 18, and Subdivision 2, Tahoma 2f Section 2 Block; towards the south-east and again towards the east by Small Grazing-run 114; again towards the south-east by the Gisborne–Waikaremoana Road, Small Grazing-run 94, and again by the Gisborne–Waikaremoana Road; towards the west by a State forest (Gazette 1905, page 2765); towards the north-west by Manuoha Block; and towards the west by Manuoha and Paharakeke Blocks; save and excepting an intersecting public road. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 48/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2,200 acres, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 60 (Gazette 1920, page 925) situated in Blocks IX and X, Hikurangi Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by a State forest (Gazette 1900, page 429); towards the east by the Mangaokura Stream; and towards the south by Sections 1, 2, 3, and 5, Block XIV, Hikurangi Survey District, and the Ruatahunga Stream. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 42/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1,504 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 64 (Gazette 1921, page 1636), and being Lot 2 of Section 2, Block IV, Hikurangi Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by Lot 1 of Section 2 aforesaid; towards the south by a State forest (Gazette 1900, page 429); towards the north-west by Tapuwaeroa 2B Block; and towards the north-east by Tapuwaeroa 2A 2A and 2A 2C Blocks. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 42/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2,712 acres 2 roods, more or less, administered as Provisional State Forest No. 87 (Gazette 1921, page 2230) and being Section 1, Block I, and Section 2, Block II, Mangaoporo Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 33/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of January, 1933.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those areas in Westland Land District containing approximately 168,370 acres and described as follows:—

All that area containing approximately 142,170 acres, being formerly part of Provisional State Forest No. 1698 (Gazette 1920, page 2846—national-endowment Provisional State Forest, 6,370 acres), and part of Provisional State Forest No. 1692 (Gazette 1919, page 1284—ordinary Provisional State Forest, 135,800 acres), situated in Block XII, Awarua, Blocks, I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, XII, XIV, XV, and XVI, Gorge River, Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Barn Bay, Blocks IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI, Cascade, Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XIII, and XIV, Macfarlane, and Blocks V, VI, IX, and X, Arawata Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the south-western corner of Section 428, Block V, Arawata Survey District, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction along a right line to Trig. Station “T.P.”; thence along a right line in south-westerly direction to the most easterly corner of Pastoral License 1020 (Gazette 1930, page 73–74); thence along the south-eastern boundary of said license 23,200 links, bearing 208°, and its south-western boundary, bearing 319° 51′, to the Barn Bay–Cascade Road; thence generally westerly along the south side of the said road to the Hope River; thence generally southerly along a line ten chains from and parallel to the high-water mark to a point ten chains from the mouth of the Gorge River; thence easterly along a line ten chains from and parallel to the right bank of the Gorge River to a point due north of Trig. Station “Y.R.”; thence southerly across the said river to a point ten chains from the left bank thereof, and westerly along a line ten chains from and parallel to the said bank of the Gorge River to a point ten chains from its mouth; thence along a line ten chains from and parallel to the high-water mark to the Otago Land District boundary; thence easterly along the said district boundary to the edge of the
