ELECTION OF SIX MEMBERS OF WAIMATUKU RIVER BOARD.
IN accordance with the provisions of sections 10 and 11 of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, and the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that the following duly qualified persons have been nominated as candidates for election to the Waimatuku River Board :—
No. 1 Waimatuku Subdivision—
Thomas Stuart Muirhead.
No. 2 Monte Christo Subdivision—
Alexander McKenzie.
No. 3 Drummond Subdivision—
Robert Kennedy.
Ian Charles Lindsay.
No. 4 Otahuti Subdivision—
Robert Ironside Hector.
William Young.
There being only the required number of candidates nominated for Subdivisions 3 and 4, and less than the required number for Subdivisions 1 and 2, I hereby declare Thomas Stuart Muirhead, Alexander McKenzie, Robert Kennedy, Ian Charles Lindsay, Robert Ironside Hector, and William Young duly elected.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Stratford Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 12th day of December, 1932.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford Borough Council General Purposes Redemption Loan of £8,700, 1932, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the Stratford Borough General Purposes Loan No. 1 of £10,000, 1922, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 31st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Stratford was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Stratford Borough Council in the presence of—
