Excluding Land from Heretaunga Development Scheme.
Office of the Native Minister,
Wellington, 9th March, 1933.
WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of 3rd September, 1931, that the Native Minister had decided to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Karamu F 3 and other blocks of Native land or land owned by Natives in the Ikaroa Native Land Court District: And whereas the Native Minister has now decided that the block mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to the provisions of subsection (3) of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, it is hereby notified that such land is excluded from the said Heretaunga Development Scheme accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
THE following land situate in the Heretaunga Survey District in the Ikaroa Native Land Court District: Omahu 4c Section 9 Block : Area, 37 acres 2 roods 4 perches.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, prohibiting the Sale in the Borough of Rangiora of certain Goods comprised in the Trade of a Tobacconist.
WHEREAS a petition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' shops within the Borough of Rangiora, has been forwarded to me, desiring that the sale of certain goods comprised in the trade of a tobacconist—namely, cigarettes, cigars, tobacco, and smoking requisites—be prohibited during such times as the said shops are required to be closed in pursuance of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22:
And whereas I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised in the trade of a tobacconist in the said district, and that the signatures to such petition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops in the said district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said Act, I do hereby direct that on and after the 3rd day of April, 1933, the sale of the said goods in the Borough of Rangiora shall be and is hereby prohibited as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after the hour of 6 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays after the hour of 10 p.m., with the following exception—On the working-day that first precedes Christmas Day and on the working-day that first precedes New Year's Day, after the hour of 11 p.m.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its Amendment, fixing the Closing-hours of (1) Fruiterers', and (2) Confectioners' Shops within the Borough of Rangiora.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to me from the occupiers of shops in each of the trades of (1) fruiterer and (2) confectioner, within the Borough of Rangiora, pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22:
And whereas I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the said trades within the said borough:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, I do hereby direct that on and after the 3rd day of April, 1933, all the shops in each of the said trades within the said borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 11 p.m.

Revocation of Order Prohibiting Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence for G. Dryden, Invercargill.
WHEREAS the Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, on the 23rd day of February, 1933, issued an order under the provisions of section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, prohibiting the issue of money-orders in favour of and the transmission within New Zealand of postal packets addressed to the person whose name and address appear in the Schedule hereto on the ground that such person was engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance: And whereas the Postmaster-General is satisfied that the person concerned is no longer engaged in such business, he hereby rescinds the above-mentioned order, and orders that money-orders for such person shall be issued, when required, and that postal packets addressed to such person shall be registered, forwarded, and delivered in due course.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the organization and persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said organization or persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said organization or persons (either by its or their own or any fictitious or assumed names) shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
