Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1932.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section four hundred and forty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

KETETAHI (Tauponuiatia) Block, Pihanga Survey District: Approximate area, 92 acres 2 roods.

Partial Exemption of Thames Borough Debentures from Operation of Part IV of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1932.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section forty-five of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt from the operation of Part IV of the said Act all debentures issued by the Thames Borough Council if and so long as it is proved to the satisfaction of the Minister of Finance that the said Borough is unable to pay to the debenture-holders more than ninety per centum of the amount of interest expressed to be payable under the said debentures.

Regulations under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, relating to the destruction of Rabbits in the West Waikato Rabbit District.—Notice No. Ag. 3090.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations relating to the destruction of rabbits in the district under the jurisdiction of the West Waikato Rabbit Board, and doth hereby declare that these regulations shall take effect from the date of the gazetting thereof.
REGULATIONS.
- NOTWITHSTANDING any other means adopted by him, every owner of land on whom a notice to destroy rabbits is served in terms of section 6 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, shall adopt one or more of the following means of destroying rabbits—namely, the laying of poison, the fumigation of burrows, the filling-in of burrows:
Provided that if an owner is of opinion that none of the principal means prescribed is the most suitable in his case, he may apply to the Board for permission to use some other means, and the decision of the Board shall be final as to the means to be adopted.

Not later than seven days after the service of such notice on an owner of land all trapping on his land shall cease, and thereafter for a period of six months from the date of service of the notice the owner shall not, except with the written permission of the Board and subject to the conditions specified therein, trap rabbits or allow rabbits to be trapped on his land.

Every person committing a breach of these regulations shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £10.

Regulations as to Allowances to Members of the Unemployment Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Unemployment Act, 1930, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations in relation to allowances to members of the Unemployment Board, and doth hereby declare that the regulations hereby made shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Gazette.
REGULATIONS.

THESE regulations may be cited as the Unemployment Board (Allowances) Regulations, 1932.

Clause (1) of Regulation 2 of the Unemployment Board (Allowances) Regulations, 1931, is amended by adding thereto the following additional paragraph:—
“(c) In the case of any member (other than the Minister, the Commissioner, or the Deputy Chairman), in respect of any period during which such member is a member of a standing or special committee of the Board established under section 28 of the Unemployment Amendment Act, 1931, an allowance of 15s. for each day or part of a day during which such member is, with the concurrence of the Board, engaged on the business of the Board (including the business of any such standing or special committee):
“Provided that in respect of any period for which the allowance set out in this paragraph is payable to any member the allowance set out in paragraph (b) of this clause shall not be payable to such member.”
- Clause (1) of the said Regulation 2 is further amended by inserting after the words “An allowance” in paragraph (a) thereof the following words: “in the case of the Deputy Chairman of 30s., and in the case of any other member.”

Revoking a License Authorizing Alfred Jones, of Waipipi, to use Water from a Stream in Section 163, Waipipi Point, Block XI, Awhitu Survey District, for the Purpose of generating Electricity.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1932.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and with the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the license dated the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, at page 2020, authorizing Alfred Jones, of Waipipi, to use water from a stream in Section 163, Waipipi Parish, Block XI, Awhitu Survey District, in the Land District of North Auckland, for the purpose of generating electricity.
