Regulations under the Government Life Insurance Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of December, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him by the Government Life Insurance Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion—
(1) Doth hereby direct that the table designated nII contained in the Schedule to the Order in Council made under the said Act on the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and the tables designated respectively nI and nC contained in the Second Schedule to the Order in Council made under the said Act on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, be no longer used in the issue of new policies:
(2) Doth hereby approve and direct the use of the tables set forth in the First Schedule hereto:
(3) Doth hereby approve and direct the use of the table set forth in the Second Schedule hereto for use in combination with any other table hereby or heretofore authorized and now or hereafter in force in which provision is made for payment of yearly premiums:
(4) Doth hereby order that this present Order in Council shall take effect on and after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
FIRST SCHEDULE.

YEARLY premium payable during the whole of life to secure a whole-life assurance of £100 without profits, payable at death only.

When the sum assured is £1,000 or over, the above premiums shall be reduced by 2s. per centum. The Commissioner may in entering into any policy grant in his discretion a further reduction not exceeding 2½ per cent. of the premium set out in the foregoing table.

Children under 10 (last birthday) cannot be accepted for assurance under the above Tables nI, nII, and nC, in this Schedule.
Yearly premiums in respect of assurances under the above tables for ages at nearest birthday and for terms of policy intermediate between those respectively above specified shall be graduated progressively in accordance with the premiums set out above. A premium payable half-yearly or quarterly shall be a proportionate part of the respective yearly premium increased by a percentage of 2½ or 5 as the case may be.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
YEARLY premiums payable under any policy issued on or after the 1st day of January, 1933, may be made payable by monthly or four-weekly instalments. Such instalments shall be a proportionate part of the yearly premium increased by 2½ per centum.

Cancelling the Appointments of Certain Members of the Main Highways Board and appointing other Members of the said Board.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
W HEREAS by Warrant dated the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 52 of the fourteenth day of the same month, Frederick William Furkert, Esquire, of Wellington, Engineer-in-Chief and Under-Secretary of the Public Works Department, was appointed to be a member of the Main Highways Board in terms of subsection three, clause (a), of section five of the Main Highways Act, 1922:
And whereas by Warrant dated the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, Frederick William Furkert was appointed to be Chairman of the Main Highways Board:
And whereas by Warrant dated the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19 of the nineteenth day of the said month, John Wood, Esquire, of Wellington, Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works Department, was appointed to be an acting member of the Main Highways Board in terms of section five, subsection five, of the Main Highways Act, 1922:
And whereas it is considered expedient to cancel the appointments of Frederick William Furkert as member and Chairman, and of John Wood as an acting member of the said Board, and to make other appointments:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby cancel as from the date hereof the appointments of Frederick William Furkert as member and Chairman of the Main Highways Board, and of John Wood as an acting member of the said Board:
And in pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby appoint as from the date hereof
John Wood, Esquire, of Wellington, Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works Department,
to be a member of the Main Highways Board in terms of subsection three, clause (a), of section five of the said Act; and
Alfred James Baker, Esquire, of Wellington, Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works Department,
to be an acting member in terms of subsection five of section five of the said Act, to act in the event of the absence of any member from any meeting of the said Board:
And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby appoint Charles John McKenzie, member of the Main Highways Board, to be Chairman of the said Board as from the date hereof.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of December, 1932.
