ON the 1st November, 1932, City Properties, Limited, passed the following resolution:—

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,725 authorized to be raised by the Cambridge Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for repaying that portion of a loan of £2,000 for which the accumulated sinking fund was insufficient for the purpose, the said Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/32d. (five thirty-seconds of one penny) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Cambridge, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I CERTIFY that the resolution as set out above was carried and embodied in the minutes of a meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 17th day of November, 1932.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

WE, JOHN ALEXANDER GRANTLEY and PEARL RHODA GRANTLEY hereinbefore called and known by the names respectively of John Alexander McLennan and Pearl Rhoda McLennan, of Meadowbank Road, Remuera, in the City of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, hereby give public notice that on the 7th day of November, 1932, we formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of our surname of McLennan and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the surname of Grantley instead of the surname of McLennan, and we therefore give notice that by a deed poll dated the 7th day of November, 1932, duly executed and attested (and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the Northern Judicial District of Auckland), we formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of McLennan and declared that we had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the surname of Grantley instead of the surname of McLennan, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the said names respectively of John Alexander Grantley and Pearl Rhoda Grantley.

WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Wairoa Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 21st day of November, 1932.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairoa Borough Council Hydro-electric Redemption Loan of £6,700, 1932, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the Wairoa Borough Council Hydro-electric Scheme Loan of £9,000, 1932, the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/25ths (thirteen twenty-fifths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Wairoa was hereto affixed at the Office of, and pursuant to a resolution of, the Wairoa Borough Council in the presence of—
