At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of November, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the charges fixed by Order in Council dated the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and gazetted on the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, at page 2709, for the transmission by post of money-orders issued in Western Samoa for payment in New Zealand, and in lieu thereof doth fix the charges set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth further order and declare that such revocation and the charges hereby fixed shall have effect on and from the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of November, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Franklin County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section two of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1926, and of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to raise the sum of twenty-three thousand pounds (£23,000) by a loan to be known as Great South Road Loan, 1933, for the purpose of meeting its share of the cost of the re-alignment, reconstruction, and permanent surfacing of the Franklin County section of the Great South Road Main Highway (including the Bombay Hills Deviation, but excluding that section of the present highway over the Razorback between the ends of the said deviation), and including the land plan survey and legalization of deviations, compensation for land to be taken, fencing, and the removal of power and telephone lines involved in such reconstruction, re-alignment, or permanent surfacing:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of twenty-three thousand pounds (£23,000) at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds five shillings (£5 5s.) per centum per annum, upon terms of making the said sum, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of ten (10) years.
