Captain R. H. Baxter, M.C., M.B., ceases to be attached to the 16th Light Battery N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Southern Command. Dated 8th November, 1932.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.

Captain H. McC. Holden is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 9th November, 1932.

Appointment of Issuing Officer for the Purpose of issuing Licenses to fish for Trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.

PURSUANT to the provisions of Regulation 2 (2) of the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize

Miss Wylla Jones

to be an Issuing Officer for the purpose of issuing licenses to fish for trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, vice Mr. J. A. C. Fleming.

Notifying Land in the Hawke’s Bay District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 20th October, 1932.

I HEREBY notify that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto were acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and are subject to the said Act as from the 31st March, 1931; and that the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto were, by Proclamation published at page 991 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th April, 1931, resumed for settlement and are subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as from the 1st April, 1931; and that all the lands described in the said First and Second Schedules hereto shall be known as Kakariki Settlement.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL those areas containing 1,590 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Section 3, Block VII, Mohaka Survey District, and Blocks 14, 22, 23, 45, 53 to 70 (inclusive), 73, and 74, Mohaka Crown Grant District, Blocks III, VI, VII, and X, Mohaka Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/149/505, and deposited under No. 2603 in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon edged blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area containing 18,711 acres, more or less, commencing at the north-western corner of Small Grazing-run No. 36 at the juncture of a public road with the Mohaka River; thence in an easterly and south-easterly direction by the right bank of the Mohaka River to the Kiwi Stream; thence generally south-westerly by the Kiwi Stream, the north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 5021, and Section 1, Small Grazing-run No. 25, to and by the northern boundary of a public road; thence across that road and by the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block XI, Mohaka Survey District, the north-western boundary of Section 3, Pastoral Run No. 15, to and across the Anaura Stream, thence by the right bank of the said Anaura Stream to its junction with the Waikare River; thence north-westerly up the left bank of the Waikare River to the south-eastern corner of Pastoral Run No. 10; thence generally northerly by the eastern boundary of Pastoral Run No. 10 and eastern side of a public road to the Mohaka River the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked 21/149/505, and deposited under No. 2603 in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon edged red.

Save and excepting thereout an area of 2,081 acres, more or less, comprising :—
(1) Blocks 14, 22, 23, 45, 53 to 70, 73, 74, Mohaka Crown Grant District, and Section 3, Block VII, Mohaka Survey District, shown edged blue on the said plan and being the land described in the First Schedule hereto.
(2) Section 6, Block VII, and Section 4 (Quarry Reserve), Block X, Mohaka Survey District, shown coloured yellow on the said plan.
(3) The closed roads shown coloured green on the said plan.
(4) The area of Crown land in Block VII, Mohaka Survey District, shown edged green on the said plan.
(5) The land taken for roads and a railway shown coloured burnt sienna and purple respectively on the said plan.
