NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolutions of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Lands in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 1st November, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 6th December, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Thursday, 8th December, 1932, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Murchison County.—Maruia Survey District.
Section 6, Block VIII: Area, 367 acres. Capital value, £225. Renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £4 10s. Weighted with £500 for improvements.
Situated in the Mid-Maruia Valley about seventeen miles from Murchison by metalled road. Approximately 80 acres of the flat was washed away after the earthquake. The section comprises 105 acres of standing bush, 262 acres felled and grassed; hills now all fern which is also bad on flat. Approximately 140 acres flat, balance hills. The soil is fair on flat, poor on hills, resting on granite formation. Well watered.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waimaua County.—Motueka Survey District.
Sections 10 and 14, Block I: Area, 1,984 acres. Capital value, £695. Renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £13 18s. Weighted in favour of the State Advances Superintendent with £925 for improvements, comprising 300 acres felled and grassed and 50 chains of fencing.
Situated about fourteen miles from Motueka by road and track. There are approximately 300 acres cleared, 70 acres of which are running into fern while the balance of the area is in bush. The soil is fair to good quality resting on limestone. Well watered.
Murchison County.—Maruia Survey District.
Section 7, Block VIII: Area, 460 acres 2 roods 29 perches. Capital value, £172. Renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £3 8s. 10d.
Situated in the Mid-Maruia Valley about sixteen miles from Murchison by metalled road. The section comprises all bush. There are small flats along the frontage, undulating to steep hills. The soil is fair along frontage, poor on hills, resting on granite formation. Well watered.
About 25 acres are subject to milling rights.
Section 8, Block VIII: Area, 983 acres. Capital value, £200. Renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £4.
Situated in the Mid-Maruia Valley about fifteen miles from Murchison by metalled road. The section comprises 120 acres felled and grassed, now covered with dense fern, balance bush. About 45 acres flat, balance hills. Altitude, 900 ft. to 2,300 ft. The soil is of poor quality, resting on sandstone formation. Well watered.
