General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

John Hubert Monteith,
Gerald Vincent Smith,
Richard Sherratt,
Oliver Thodey,
Edward Ellmers, and
George Herbert Ballard

to be the Patutahi Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Patutahi Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

PATUTAHI DOMAIN.—GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

SECTIONS 17 to 20, 24 to 30, 65 to 76, and 102 to 113 (all inclusive), and closed road, Township of Patutahi: Area, 9 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less.

Also Section 81, Block I, Turanganui Survey District: Area, 61 acres 0 roods 22 perches, more or less.

Postal Regulations: Bullion and Jewellery.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of October, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette on the nineteenth day of the same month at page 377, regulations were made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act for the transmission of bullion and jewellery by post:

And whereas it is desired to add to such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth order that such regulation shall form part of and be read together with the regulation numbered 16 in the Schedule of the above-recited Order in Council.

SCHEDULE.

PARCEL POST: BULLION AND JEWELLERY.

On parcels containing bullion addressed to Australia a fee at the rate of 3d. per ounce avoirdupois shall also be paid for special protection of the parcels between New Zealand and Australia.

Plumbers Regulations, 1931, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of October, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend in the following manner the Plumbers Regulations, 1931:—

  1. Clause 1 of Regulation 4 is hereby revoked and the following substituted—

“The Board shall once in every calendar year hold, at such convenient places as the Board may decide, examinations of candidates for registration as plumbers under paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section 7 of the said Act.”

Portion of Frankley Road and the Western Side of Portion of Cowling Road in the County of Taranaki, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of October, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Taranaki County Council on the third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, the portions of roads affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the schedule hereto, viz.:—

“That the Taranaki County Council being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Taranaki, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to those portions of the Frankley Road fronting Sections 52A, 53A, and 513, Grey District, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, nor to that portion of the Cowling Road having a frontage to 513, 501A, and 51A Grey District, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting either side of the portion of Frankley Road or the western side of the portion of Cowling Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road situated in the Taranaki Land District, County of Taranaki, known as Frankley Road, fronting Section 513, Grey District, Block VIII, Paritutu Survey District.

Also the western side of all that portion of road in the said Land District and County known as Cowling Road fronting Sections 501A and 513, Grey District, Block VIII, Paritutu Survey District.

As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 84689, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Prohibiting the Use of Danish Seine Nets in Whangarei Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of October, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is expedient to make regulations prohibiting the use of Danish seine nets for the purpose of taking fish in the waters hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the fifth section of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that these regulations shall come into force on the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

REGULATIONS.

  1. No person shall use a Danish seine net for the purpose of taking fish in those waters of the sea in Whangarei Harbour inside a right line drawn from Marsden Point to Busby Head.

  2. Any person committing a breach of these regulations shall be liable to a fine of £20.
