NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between LEWIS ARTHUR WILLIAM BECROFT and HENRY BERTRAM BECROFT, carrying on a business as Builders and Undertakers, at Helensville, under the style or firm of “Becroft Bros.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 17th day of September, 1932.

All persons, firms, or companies having accounts against the late Partnership are hereby requested to forward the same without delay to A. G. LOWE, Solicitor, Helensville.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR SPECIAL LOAN OF £10,000.

JOHN SAXON BARTON and LACHLAN BAIN CAMPBELL, the Special Committee of Management for the Borough of Napier, acting on behalf of the Napier Borough Council, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Act, 1931, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers them enabling, resolve as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the moneys required to repay a special loan of £10,000, and pay interest and other charges thereon, which loan was authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of carrying out town-planning improvements in specified streets, including the cost of the acquisition of the necessary land and the formation of new streets, widened streets, and service lanes comprised in such improvements, and expenses incidental thereto, the said John Saxon Barton and Lachlan Bain Campbell as such Committee, acting on behalf of the Napier Borough Council, hereby make and levy a special rate of twenty-nine two-hundredths (29/200ths) of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.

COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED ON WEDNESDAY, 28TH SEPTEMBER, 1932.

Resolution making Special Rate as Security for Loan of £25,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000 authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¾d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

THE GUARDIAN, TRUST, AND EXECUTORS COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED.

I, RICHARD FROUDE WARD, Manager of the Guardian, Trust, and Executors Company of New Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £100,000, divided into 20,000 shares of £5 each.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 20,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of five pounds (£5) per share have been made, under which the sum of £100,000 has been received.
  5. That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates on the 1st day of July last is £9,005,133 19s. 8d.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates on that day is £8,981,274 13s.
  7. That the amount of the balances due to estates under administration on that day is £23,859 6s. 8d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company as on the 1st day of July last were £13,895 4s. 4d.
  9. That the assets of the company on that day were £133,576 5s. 9d.
  10. That the first annual license was issued on the 10th day of March, 1911.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
