the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, and deeming the regulations
hereby made to be necessary for the due administration of
the said section fourteen, doth hereby make the following
amending regulations by way of amendment to the Taupo
Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929 (hereinafter called “the
principal regulations”), and, with the like advice and consent,
doth hereby declare that such regulations shall take effect
on and from the thirtieth day of September, 1932.

REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Taupo Trout-
    fishing Regulations Amendment No. 3, and shall be read to-
    gether with and form part of the principal regulations.

  2. Clause (1) of Regulation 9 of the principal regulations
    is hereby amended by adding thereto the following para-
    graph:-

(l) That part of the Waikato River lying between Hell's
Gate and the Huka Falls.

The Rotorua Trout-fishing Regulations Amendment No. 3.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
September, 1932.
Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council,

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and its amendments, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make
the following amending regulations by way of amendment to
the Rotorua Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929 (hereinafter
called the “principal regulations”), and, with the like advice
and consent, doth hereby declare that such regulations shall
take effect on and from the thirtieth day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

REGULATIONS.

(1) THESE regulations may be cited as the Rotorua Trout-
fishing Regulations Amendment No. 3, and shall be read
together with and form part of the principal regulations.

(2) Regulations 31 and 32 of the principal regulations are
hereby amended by deleting the figures “10,” and substituting
the figures “12” in lieu thereof.

(3) Regulation 37 of the principal regulations is hereby
amended by deleting the word “southern,” and substituting
the word “northern” in lieu thereof.

(4) Regulation 36 of the principal regulations as enacted by
clause 2 of the Rotorua Trout-fishing Regulations Amendment
No. 2 is hereby revoked, and the following regulation sub-
stituted in lieu thereof:-

“36. (1) No person shall, in fishing for trout in any place
to which this regulation applies, use-

“(i) Any lure or bait other than an artificial fly:
“(ii) Any spinning fly, or fly with a spinning attachment,
whether such fly be an artificial fly or not:
“(iii) Any artificial fly in the manner known as ‘trolling
or ‘harling.’

“(2) This regulation shall apply to the following places :-
“(a) The Kaituna River between Lake Rotoiti and the
electric-power station at the Okere Falls.
“(b) The Taahunaatara Stream.
“(c) Every part of Lake Rotoiti lying within 200 yards of
that portion of the lake-shore which commences
at a point 300 yards north of the Tapuaeharuru
Stream and extends thence in a southerly and
westerly direction to a point 300 yards north-
north-west of Haupara Stream.
“(d) Every stream, spring, and river flowing into or from
that part of Lake Rotoiti described in paragraph (c)
hereof.
“(e) The Ohau Channel.
“(f) Every part of Lake Rotorua lying within 300 yards
of that portion of the lake-shore which commences
at a point 200 yards south-east of the Waiohiro or
Fairy Springs Creek and extends northerly to a
point 200 yards north of the Awahou Stream.
“(g) Every stream, spring, and river flowing into or from
that part of Lake Rotorua described in paragraph (f)
hereof.

“(h) Every stream, spring, and river flowing into or from
the lakes and portions of lakes hereinafter men-
tioned, and the waters of such lake lying within a
radius of 300 yards shore to shore from the centre
of the meeting-line of every such stream, spring, or
river, and the lake into or from which it flows.
“(The lakes and portions of lakes referred to in
this paragraph are-

“(i) That portion of Lake Rotorua not com-
prised in the area described in para-
graph (f) hereof:
“(ii) That portion of Lake Rotoiti not com-
prised in the area described in para-
graph (c) hereof:
“(iii) Lake Rotoehu:
“(iv) Lake Rotoma:
“(v) Lake Rotokakahi:
“(vi) Lake Tarawera.
“(i) The Waikaretaheke River.
“(j) The Hopuruahine, Mokau, and Aniwaniwa Rivers, and
the waters of Lake Waikaremoana within a radius
of 400 yards shore to shore from the respective
centres of the meeting-line of each of the said rivers
and the said lake.
“(k) That part of the Waikato River lying between the
point where the Whangapoa or Taahunaatara
Stream enters the said river and a landmark approx-
imately two miles and a half below the bridge at
Atiamuri.
“(l) That part of the Ruakituri River lying between its
confluence with the Mangarewarewa River at
Erepeti and its confluence with the Makokomuka
River at the northern boundary of S.G.R. 84.
“(m) That part of the Whakatane River lying between the
concrete bridge on the Whakatane-Rotorua Road
and the railway bridge near Pekatahi.
“(n) That part of the Waimana River lying between its
confluence with the Whakatane River and the point
of its divergence from the Whakatane-Opotiki
Road at the foot of Douglas Hill.

“(3) No person shall, in fishing for trout in that portion of
the Waikato River lying between the Huka Falls and the
Aratiatia Rapids, fish in the manner known as ‘trolling’ or
‘harling.’”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that from and after
the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-two, the public domains described in the Schedules
hereto shall be united to form one public domain, to be known
as the Waihirere and Gray’s Bush Domain.
