Commencing at the junction of Bealey Avenue and Park Terrace; thence southerly along Park Terrace and Rolleston Avenue to Lincoln Road; thence along Lincoln Road to Moorhouse Avenue; thence easterly along the centre of Moorhouse Avenue to its junction with Fitzgerald Avenue; thence northerly along the centre of Fitzgerald Avenue to the left bank of the River Avon; thence easterly along the left bank of the said River Avon to a point opposite the continuation of a line forming the northern boundary of a subdivision of Rural Section 197, containing 5 acres 2 roods; thence westerly along the northern bank of the said subdivision to a road intersecting Rural Section 197; thence along the eastern side of that road to a point opposite a private road in continuation of North Avon Road; thence westerly and southerly along the centre of the said private road and North Avon Road to the junction of the latter with Bealey Avenue; thence westerly along the centre of Bealey Avenue to the starting-point.

RESOLUTION MAKING SECURITY RATE.


Linwood Waterworks Loans Redemption Loan, 1932 (£13,400).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand four hundred pounds (£13,400), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of two loans of £19,200 and £1,920 maturing on the 31st October, 1932, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-seven-thousand-five-hundred-and-nine seventy-eight-thousand-one-hundred-and-twenty-fifths (37,509/78,125ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the Linwood Waterworks Loans Special-rating Area, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Commencing at a point on the south side of the River Avon at the junction of River Road with Fitzgerald Avenue; thence southerly along the centre of Fitzgerald Avenue to Ferry Road; thence along the centre of Ferry Road to Wilson’s Road; thence along the centre of Wilson’s Road to the Railway Reserve; thence southerly along the northern side of the Railway Reserve to Ensor’s Road; thence north-easterly along Ensor’s Road to Ferry Road; thence south-easterly along Ferry Road to Aldwin’s Road; thence north-easterly along Aldwin’s Road to Linwood Avenue; thence along the centre of Linwood Avenue in a north-westerly direction to the right bank of the River Avon at the junction of Woodham Road; thence westerly along the right bank of the River Avon to the starting-point.

St. Albans Waterworks Loans Redemption Loan, 1932 (£20,350).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand three hundred and fifty pounds (£20,350), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of two loans of £29,300 and £2,930, maturing on the 31st October, 1932, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-million-one-hundred-and-forty-two-thousand-seven-hundred-and-thirteen twelve-million-five-hundred thousandths (3,142,713/12,500,000ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the St. Albans Waterworks Loans Special-rating Area, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Municipal Offices Redemption Loan, 1932 (£2,700).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand seven hundred pounds (£2,700), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £5,250 maturing on the 31st October, 1932, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen-thousand-one-hundred-and-forty-seven six-hundred-and-twenty-five-thousandths (15,147/625,000ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the whole of the City of Christchurch as constituted in 1886, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five (5) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.


In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the NORTH STAR GOLD MINES CO., LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at No. 15 Empire Buildings, Swanson Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 14th day of September, 1932, the following resolution was duly passed:—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that ARTHUR JAMES SHACKELL, of Auckland, is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

All claims against the company to be forwarded to me on or before the 1st October, 1932.
