deprived of all rating-powers, thus relieving the ratepayers of
the district of liability for rates made or levied by the Board.
And you are hereby authorized to conduct any inquiry under
these presents at such times and places as you deem expedient,
with power to adjourn from time to time and place to place,
as you think fit, and to call before you and examine, on oath
or otherwise, such persons as you think capable of affording
you information on the matters aforesaid, and to call for and
examine all such books, papers, writings, documents, and
records as you deem likely to afford you the fullest information
on any such matters.

And using all due diligence you are required to report to
me under your hand and seal not later than the fifth day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

And you are hereby strictly charged and directed that you
shall not at any time publish or otherwise disclose, save to me
in pursuance of these presents or by my direction, the contents
or purport of any report so made or to be made by you.

And it is hereby declared that this Commission shall continue
in full force and virtue, although the inquiry be not regularly
continued from time to time or from place to place by
adjournment.

And I further direct you, having regard to the local scope
of this Commission, to consider what sums representing the
whole or any portion of the costs of your inquiry should be
borne by the said Board or by any person appearing or
represented at the inquiry, and to make provision for citation
of parties and orders for payment of costs accordingly,
pursuant to the powers conferred by the Commissions of
Inquiry Act, 1908.

And, lastly, it is hereby further declared that these presents
are issued under and subject to the provisions of the Com-
missions of Inquiry Act, 1908.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of
September, 1932.

Land temporarily reserved in the Taranaki Land District for an
Addition to a Public-school Site (New Plymouth Central).


BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section
of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may from time to time set apart temporarily as
reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion
are required for any of the purposes in the said section
mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule
hereunder written for an addition to a public-school site
(New Plymouth Central).


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood 0·68 perches, more or less, being
part Section 1598, Town of New Plymouth: Bounded
towards the north-east by Section 1599, Town of New
Plymouth, 205 links; towards the south-east by Section
1623, Town of New Plymouth, 126 links; towards the south-
west by Cameron Street, 185 links; and towards the north-
west by Lemon Street, 134·28 links: be all the aforesaid link-
ages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/6/552P, deposited in the Head Office, De-
partment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 16th day of September, 1932.

conferred on me by section two of the Sale of Food
and Drugs Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

officer for the purposes of the Sale of Food and Drugs Act,
1908.
