Regulation altering Export Duty on Copra exported from the Cook Islands, other than Niue.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, regulations were made under the Cook Islands Act, 1915, prescribing a duty to be paid on all copra exported from the Cook Islands :

And whereas it is desirable to vary the rate of such duty in respect of copra to be exported from the said Islands, other than Niue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said Cook Islands Act, 1915, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the duty on copra exported during the period commencing on the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three (both dates inclusive), from any of the Cook Islands other than Niue shall be at the rate of ten shillings a ton, and thereafter shall be at the rate of twenty shillings a ton.

Revolving Order in Council of the 26th Day of July, 1926, authorizing the Otago Harbour Board to reclaim Land in Mussel Bay, Otago Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS in pursuance of the provisions of the one-hundred-and-seventy-ninth section of the Harbours Act, 1923, a special order was made and granted on the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published at page 2352 in the Gazette, No. 51, of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, authorizing the Otago Harbour Board to reclaim land in Mussel Bay, Otago Harbour, subject to the conditions specified therein :

And whereas it is desirable that the said special order be revoked :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited special order of the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, authorizing the Otago Harbour Board to reclaim land in Mussel Bay, Otago Harbour.

Samoa Importation and Exportation of Coinage Order, 1932.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of the Territory of Western Samoa, conferred upon him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby order as follows:—

REGULATIONS.

  1. This Order may be cited as the Samoa Importation and Exportation of Coinage Order, 1932.

DEFINITIONS.

  1. In this Order,—
    “Value,” in the case of a coin which is legal currency in Samoa or which purports to be of the same denomination as that of a coin which is legal currency in Samoa, means face value ;
    “Coined gold” and “coined silver” include, where the context so permits, coins which are or at any time have been used as currency in any country whether legal tender in Samoa or not and whether in circulation as currency in Samoa or not.

EXPORTATION OF GOLD COIN.

  1. No person shall export or attempt to export from Samoa any coined gold without the permission of the Administrator.

IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION OF SILVER COIN.

  1. No person shall import or attempt to import into Samoa, or export or attempt to export from Samoa, any coined silver otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this Order.
