Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in the Village of Patetonga, Auckland Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for a site for a post-office over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a cemetery reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

Boundaries of Borough of Timaru and County of Levels altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the County of Levels and included in the Borough of Timaru :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said borough :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Levels and included in the Borough of Timaru.


SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF LEVELS AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-western boundary of the Borough of Timaru with the north-western side of Chaucer Street ; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Chaucer Street to Hill View Road ; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Hill View Road, crossing Otipua Avenue, to the westernmost corner of Lot 4 on plan 4173, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch ; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lots 4 and 3 on said plan 4173 to the northernmost corner of the said Lot 3 ; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 2 on plan 4088, deposited as aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot ; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid to its intersection with the south-western boundary of the Borough of Timaru ; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the north-western side of Chaucer Street, the point of commencement.

Exempting certain Securities from the Operation of Part IV of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, relating to Stamp Duty on Interest from Government and Local Bodies’ Securities, and revoking previous Exemptions.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1932.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt from the operation of Part IV of the said Act the class of securities set out in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette on the ninth day of the same month, at page 1424, exempting certain classes of securities from the operation of Part IV of the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

SECURITIES issued by a local authority, as defined by subsection (3) of section 45 of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the principal local authority”), and held by another such local authority (hereinafter referred to as “the agent local authority”), if it is proved to the satisfaction of the Minister of Finance that the moneys secured by such securities are represented by moneys owing by the agent local authority upon securities issued by it :

Provided that the agent local authority shall duly apply from time to time for a refund under section 47 of the said Act of the net duty received in respect of interest paid by it on such last-mentioned securities, and shall authorize all such refunds to be made direct to the principal local authority.
