Approving of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers

Regulations, 1931.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations,
1931, I, Ethelbert Alfred Ransom, Acting Minister of
Transport, do hereby approve, until further notice, of the
person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being
a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the local
authority described in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Including Additional Land in the Oparure Development Scheme.

WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of 1931,
page 1464, of the Native Minister's intention to
apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the
Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Pukenui 2N 2A and other blocks, and
known as the Oparure Development Scheme:

Now, therefore, I, the said Native Minister, do decide to
apply the provisions of section 522 of the Native Land Act,
1931, to the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
as a part of such scheme, and hereby give notice of my
intention accordingly.

No owner, except with the consent of the Native Minister,
is entitled to exercise any rights of ownership in connection
with the land affected so as to interfere with or obstruct
the carrying-out of the development scheme.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Hauraki
Plains West Drainage District, County of Hauraki Plains.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land
Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments, praying that the area
described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the
Hauraki Plains West Drainage District. All persons affected
are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or
petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries
which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first
publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be
addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE HAURAKI PLAINS
WEST DRAINAGE DISTRICT, COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS.
ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District, Hauraki
Plains County, bounded as follows:

Commencing at the north-western corner of the Hauraki
Plains West Drainage District, and following the western
boundary of that district to the south-western corner of
Section 8 of Block X of Wharekawa Survey District; thence
due west across a road and the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal
to a point on centre-line of the road on the left bank of the
aforesaid canal; thence along centre-line of this road to a
point due east to the south-eastern corner of Section 30 of
Block IV of Piako Survey District; thence by a right line
joining the last-mentioned two points and along the south-
eastern boundaries of Sections 30 and 7 of Block IV of Piako
Survey District and the south-eastern and south-western
boundaries of Section 3 of Block VIII of Piako Survey
District to the western corner of the said section; thence by
a right line following the centre-line of a drain through
Section 2 of Block VIII of Piako Survey District to the
western boundary of the said section, and along its western
boundary a distance of 630 links to the north-western corner
of the same section; thence across a public road to the south-
eastern corner of Section 5 of Block III of Piako Survey
District, and along the boundaries between road and Sections
5 and 4 of Block III, Section 9 of Block VII, and Sections 3
and 1 of Block III of Piako Survey District to the western
corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the
northern side of the road between Waitakaruru 1B 2 and
1C 3G 3 Blocks to and across a road passing through the
last-mentioned block, and again along the northern side of
the road between Waitakaruru 1C 3G 3 and 1B 2 Blocks and
the northern side of the continuation of the same road through
the Waitakaruru 1B 2 Block to junction with the Pokeno-
Waitakaruru-Paeroa Road; thence due north to the centre-
line of the said road, along its centre-line to the left bank of
the Waitakaruru Stream and along the left bank of this
stream to a point due west of the point of commencement;
thence by a right line joining these two points.
