Order in Council consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities on the Instalment-repayment System, and prescribing the Terms in respect thereof.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS each of the local authorities mentioned in the Second Column of the Schedule hereto has been authorized to borrow, in respect of the loans referred to in the Third Column of the said Schedule, the respective sums stated in the Fourth Column of the said Schedule, and the respective amounts shown in the Fifth Column of the said Schedule have not yet been borrowed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the respective local authorities whose names are set out in the Second Column of the said Schedule of the respective amounts shown in the Fifth Column of the said Schedule, upon terms of making the said amounts, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over the respective periods of years stated in the Sixth Column of the said Schedule.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £2,500 by the Bruce County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the Bruce County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section six of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1926, to raise the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Clutha River Bridge Loan, 1932,” for the purpose of meeting the county’s share of the cost of constructing a new traffic bridge over the Clutha River at Balclutha:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of two thousand five hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, upon terms of making the said sum repayable by annual instalments of principal of not less than eight hundred pounds during the first two years of the currency of the loan and the balance in the third year.

Time for Preparation of Valuation Roll, Grey County, under Section 49 of the Rating Act, 1925, extended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the County Council of the Grey County having failed, through misadventure, to prepare the valuation roll of mining property in the Grey County in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, as required by section forty-nine of the Rating Act, 1925, it is expedient to extend the time for preparing the said roll as hereinbefore mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in order that the purpose and intent of the said Rating Act, 1925, may have effect, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for the preparation of the valuation roll for the Grey County under the Rating Act, 1925, until the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and doth also hereby extend the time within which the valuers shall give notice of the rateable value determined by them to each occupier, so that such notices may be given on or before the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and that objections to such valuations may be made on or before the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

Vesting Crown Land in the Corporation of the City of Dunedin for Tree-planting Purposes.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is provided that if in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient that any land vested in His Majesty and not reserved for any special purpose should be vested in any local authority in trust for the purpose of planting trees thereon, he may, by Order in Council, vest such land in that local authority for such purpose, with or without payment therefor, and subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed or imposed in such Order:

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to vest the lands described in the Schedule hereto in the Corporation of the City of Dunedin for tree-planting purposes without payment therefor:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
