Cancelling the Reservation over Reserves in Block VIII, Tuapeka West Survey District, Otago Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as sites for ferries over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 22, Block VIII, Tuapeka West Survey District, and bounded towards the north by Section 18, 651 links; towards the east by a public road, 1308·7 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 182·4 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 1439·1 links, to the place of commencement.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 23, Block VIII, Tuapeka West Survey District, and bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 67·5, 618·1, 390·2, and 753·8 links; towards the south-east by Section 20, 2513 links; towards the south-west by Section 24, 814 links; and towards the west by a public road, 852·4 links, to the place of commencement.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 9/2804, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Determining the Rate of Interest on Unpaid Death Duties.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS section sixty-one of the Finance Act, 1932, enacted that section twenty-six of the Death Duties Act, 1921, was thereby amended by inserting, after the words “six per centum per annum” in subsection two, the words “or at such less rate as the Governor-General by Order in Council may from time to time determine,” and further enacted that in the case of unpaid death duties on which interest had begun to be payable on the issue of an Order in Council under the said section the reduced rate thereby fixed should begin to be payable on such date as was specified in that behalf in the Order in Council, being not earlier than one month before the issue of the Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him as aforesaid, and of all other powers and authorities him thereunto enabling, doth hereby order and declare that interest at the following rates shall be payable under subsection two of section twenty-six of the Death Duties Act, 1921, on all death duties unpaid within three months after the death of a deceased person:—

For the period commencing at the expiration of three months after the death of a deceased person until the expiration of twelve months after the death of such deceased person—5 per centum per annum.

From the expiration of twelve months after the death of such deceased person—5½ per centum per annum.

And I further order and declare that in the case of unpaid death duties on which interest under subsection two of section twenty-six of the Death Duties Act, 1921, has begun to be payable before the date of this Order in Council the said rates shall begin to be payable on the eighth day of August, 1932.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Black Gully Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

William Pringle,
William Hugh Lusk,
Mark McAuley,
George Kirkland Pullar,
Alexander Robertson,
James Sim,
Robert Heriot Edie, and
Edgar Arnold

to be the Black Gully Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Black Gully Hut as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

BLACK GULLY DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 21 acres, more or less, being Section 5, Block X, Crookston Survey District, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the eastern side of the road forming the south-east boundary of Section 3, Block X, Crookston Survey District, distant 138° 48′ 45″ 100 links and 48° 48′ 375·9 links from the south corner of said Section 3; thence towards the north-west by said road and Run 163A, 48° 48′ 1010·3 links; towards the north by said Run 163A, 100° 00′ 40″ 2508·9 links, and towards the south-east and south-west by said Run 163A, 249° 00′ 45″ 2345·9 links and 300° 24′ 30″ 1206·5 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/796, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Directing Application of Moneys received in respect of Portion of the Ormond Domain, Gisborne Land District, for the Purposes of the Kowhai Park Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1932.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section sixty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of that portion of the Ormond Domain described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the date hereof lying to the credit of the said portion, a sum not exceeding one hundred and sixty pounds shall be applied in managing, administering, and improving the Kowhai Park Domain, described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—PART OF ORMOND DOMAIN.

ALL that area in Block I, Waimata Survey District, containing by admeasurement 107 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being the section marked “Bush Reserve,” and being the land referred to in the Order in Council dated 1st August, 1910, and published in Gazette No. 75, of the 4th of that month, page 3115.
