that of the Intermediate Examination instead of Form II. Candidates will be required to present themselves for examination at the nearest centre where the appropriate examination is being held.
Candidates must, either directly or through their teachers, send notice to the Director of Education, Education Department, Wellington, of their intention to present themselves for examination. Such notice must be posted so as to reach the Department not later than the 30th of September, 1932.
Copies of the regulations and forms of notice may be obtained from teachers of Native Schools and boarding institutions, the Secretaries to Education Boards, or the Director of Education, Wellington.

Exportation of Goods to China.—Consular Invoices required.
Customs Department,

IT is hereby notified for public information that advice has been received that the Government of China have promulgated regulations, operating on and after 1st September, 1932, under which each shipment of merchandise imported into China valued at or over two hundred dollars Chinese currency is required to be accompanied by a Consular invoice issued by the Chinese Consulate at or near the port of shipment.
Postal parcels, and such goods as are admissible free by the Chinese Maritime Customs, are exempted from this requirement.
The forms of Consular invoice may be obtained in New Zealand upon application to the Consul of China at Wellington.
The fee for certification of a Consular invoice is five Chinese gold units (which, according to the present rate of exchange, is equivalent to about twelve shillings in New Zealand currency).
The certified Consular invoice is required to be sent to the consignee for presentation to the Chinese Maritime Customs. If merchandise requiring to be covered by a Consular invoice is not accompanied by the same, the consignee is liable to pay a fine of three times the fee chargeable for such invoice.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932.—Notice of Cancellation of Award.
In the matter of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in the matter of an industrial dispute between Alfred Vincent S. Reed, Sheep-farmer, Napier, and others, of the one part, and the Wellington Shearers’ Industrial Union of Workers, of the other part.
WHEREAS the Conciliation Commissioner, by notice under his hand dated the 25th day of August, 1932, has notified the Clerk of Awards that a settlement of the above-mentioned dispute has not been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation appointed for the hearing thereof :
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with section 7 (4) of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932, the Wellington Industrial District Shearers and Shed Hands’ Award, dated the 16th October, 1931, and published in Book of Awards, Vol. XXXI, page 330, is deemed to be cancelled and ceases to be in force on the expiration of one month from the date of the Commissioner’s notification to the Clerk of Awards as aforesaid.
