IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of The Fijian Pineapple Company, Limited (in liquidation), a company duly incorporated having its registered office at Auckland, New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 9th day of August, 1932, the following resolution was passed :—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. A. L. Pike be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of H. Wearn, Limited (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of the undersigned, Sixth Floor, Power Board Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, the 5th day of September, 1932, at 11 o’clock a.m., with the object of laying before the members the Liquidator’s account.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Alexander Augustus Moore, of Johnsonville, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

IN LIQUIDATION.

ALL persons, firms, or corporations having claims against the above company are required, on or before the 30th day of September, 1932, to send their names and addresses and particulars of their debts and claims to the Liquidator, at Box 23, Johnsonville, and, if so required by notice in writing from him, are personally or by their Solicitors to come in and prove such debts or claims between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon daily except Saturdays, or, in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts or claims are proved.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

RESOLUTION RESPECTING SPECIAL RATE, ETC.

No. 35 Development and Improvement Loan, 1932, £10,500.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 9 of the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act, 1921, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1928, and all other powers it enabling, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves by way of special order :—

First : To raise a loan of £10,500 for the purpose of equipping one-end drive one-man cars with the necessary Y loops :

Second : That the said sum of £10,500 shall be repayable on the first day of October, 1944 :

Third : That no portion of interest or sinking fund on the said loan shall be paid out of the loan-moneys received hereunder :

Fourth : That the security for the loan shall be the Christchurch tramway undertaking and its revenues, subject to existing charges, together with a special rate to provide interest and sinking fund on the said loan :

Fifth : That the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought seven two five nought seven nine pence (0·00725079d.) in the pound sterling upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Tramway District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve years or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was made on the 18th day of July, 1932, and confirmed on the 15th day of August, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messieurs Watkins, Hull, Wheeler, & Johnston, 93 Johnston Street, Wellington, on Thursday, the 8th day of September, 1932, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator ; and also of determining, by resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
