CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Small Grazing Run in Hawke’s Bay Land District open for Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 16th August, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned small grazing run will be opened for lease in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 11th October, 1932.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 13th October, 1932, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Wairoa County.—Mohaka Survey District.

(Exempt from the payment of rent for three years.)

RUN No. 25, being Section 1, Block XI: Area, 1,002 acres 0 roods 3·5 perches. Capital value, £1,610. Half-yearly rent, £32 4s.

After payment of the broken-period rent, first half-year’s rent, and lease fee (£1 1s.), no further rent will be payable for a term of three years provided substantial improvements are effected each year equivalent in value to three times the amount of the annual rent.

Weighted with £290, for improvements consisting of three-roomed cottage, plantation, sheep-yards, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated on the Kotemaori–Kakariki–Mohaka Road and is three miles and a half from Kotemaori Post-office and Kotemaori School, eleven miles from Waikari Railway-station, sixty miles from Heretaunga Dairy Factory, and Stortford Lodge Saleyards. Access is by one mile and a half of clay road from junction with Napier–Wairoa Road. Watered by springs and permanent streams. The soil is pumiceous loam resting on 7 in. layer of pumice sand formation. Chiefly easy ridgy country with scattered areas that can be cultivated and established in good clover and grass pasture and made suitable for dairying. A large area has reverted to second-growth manuka scrub. In its present state the property is suitable chiefly for sheep-farming.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lands in the First Schedule hereto will be offered for sale by public auction for cash, and the lands in the Second Schedule for cash or on deferred payments, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, 30th September, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.

SECTION 72, Block VI: Area, 7 acres 2 roods 17·9 perches. Upset price, £23.

Weighted with the sum of £49, for improvements consisting of a stable and feed-room, 12 ft. by 40 ft., with iron roof and open front. Three acres of felling and grassing and road and boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated on the left bank of the Kakahi Stream, half a mile from Kakahi Railway-station by pumiced road. This is a long narrow hilly section, mostly in manuka scrub. Inclined to be shady. Soil of a light-quality loam. Watered by springs.

This level section has a frontage to Tio Street, and is one mile from the Railway-station.

Weighted with the sum of £11, for improvements consisting of fencing, grassing, and stumping. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in Pitotahi Street, one mile from Railway-station. Level section, cleared and grassed.

Section 38, Block V: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 8 perches. Upset price, £7 10s.

Situated in Noho Street one mile from Kakahi Railway-station by pumiced road. An easy undulating section covered with light manuka scrub. Soil of a light quality loam resting on pumice and clay.

Section 64, Block V: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 30 perches. Upset price, £8.

Weighted with the sum of £3, for improvements consisting of 6 chains of boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in Noho Street, one mile from Kakahi Railway-station by pumiced road.

A level section lightly covered with manuka scrub. Soil of a light-quality loam resting on pumice and clay.

TOWN LANDS.

Ohakune Township.

Section 4, Block XXI: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £15.

Weighted with the sum of £5, for improvements consisting of fencing and plantation. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in the Borough of Ohakune, with frontage to Tyne Street. Ten chains from Ohakune Railway-station. A level section with creek running through frontage.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Owhango.

Section 17, Block IV: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £5.

Weighted with the sum of £2 10s., for improvements consisting of felling, grassing, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in the Town of Owhango with frontage to Oru Street; one mile from railway-station.

Practically level section, although front portion is inclined to be low-lying and swampy.

Section 3, Block XI: Area, 32 perches. Upset price, £5.

Weighted with the sum of £2 10s., for improvements consisting of fencing and draining. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in Omaki Road, one mile from Owhango Railway-station. A level section in grass.

SUBURBAN LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Manunui Village Settlement.

Section 63, Block II: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £3.

Weighted with the sum of £4 10s., for improvements consisting of grassing and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated half a mile from Manunui Railway-station, with frontage to Waikura Terrace. Rough section with sufficient excavation for a dwelling. Approximately half area is in grass. Soil of light quality.

TOWN LANDS.

Manawatu County.—Sandy Survey District.

Town of Tangimoana Extension No. 1.

This section, which is level, free from noxious weeds, and in native grass, has a frontage to Nuku Street—a formed and metalled road.

A good building section, centrally situated with no danger of erosion.

Section 62: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £45.

Weighted with the sum of £1 5s., for improvements consisting of a half share in 2½ chains of boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated with frontage to Nuku Street—a formed and metalled road. Level section in native grass; a good building-site.

Section 39: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £50.

Section 38: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £50.

Situated in Beach Street—a formed and metalled road. Good building-sections, high and dry and centrally situated. There is no danger of erosion.
