THE MANAWATU MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant H. F. Smith, from the Auckland Mounted Rifles, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 10th September, 1929. Dated 21st July, 1932.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant C. F. Crosbie, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 16th September, 1930, and is posted to the 16th Light Battery. Dated 18th July, 1932.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.

Captain R. S. Wheeler, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 10. Dated 15th July, 1932.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).

George William Bowes to be Bandmaster (Hon. Lieutenant), 1st Battalion. Dated 15th July, 1932.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

Alfred Breward to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st June, 1932.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

Lieutenant A. H. Fear, 2nd Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 7th July, 1932.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

The undermentioned Lieutenants, Regimental Supernumerary List, are transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b):—

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) D. A. Smith, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is confirmed.

Donald Stuart Mackenzie to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 3rd Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st July, 1932.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

Captain A. J. Gillman, 1st Cadet Battalion, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 21st July, 1932.

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

Lieutenant E. P. Davis, 3rd Composite Company, to be Captain. Dated 13th July, 1932.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

The undermentioned Lieutenants to be Captains:—

Oliver Stanley Harvey

to be Clerk of the Magistrates’ Court at Onehunga for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, and Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the District of Manukau for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, as from the 1st day of August, 1932.

Classification of Roads in Castlepoint County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Ethelbert Alfred Ransom, Acting Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Castlepoint County, shall belong to the respective classes of roads shown in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY.

Roads classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other then a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 10 tons.

Main Highway No. 64: Masterton–Weber Junction, Castlepoint, via Tinui (all that portion within Castlepoint County).

Tinui–Alfredton Road (all that portion within Castlepoint County).
