Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road, in the County of Bruce, at Stirling. Declaring a Portion of Railway Reserve at Amberley to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION. A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road : WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation, declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly :
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Bruce County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council. Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
