In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THORBURN’S LIMITED, Auckland.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 11th day of July, 1932, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“ That it is proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up same, and accordingly that it be wound up voluntarily.”
At the said meeting, CHARLES FRANKLIN SANDERS, of Auckland, Public Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
Creditors of the company are requested to forward their claims to the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed on the 5th day of July, 1932, by entry in the minute-book of the above-named private company, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (6) of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908:—

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 18th day of July, 1932, at 10.15 a.m., the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
Resolved: “ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that Mr. L. D. B. STEWART, of Colonial Mutual Buildings, Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
All creditors who have claims against the company should forthwith lodge same with the Liquidator, 701 Colonial Mutual Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, otherwise they may be excluded from any dividend that may be declared.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
——
Gas and Water Renewal Loan, 1932 (£18,500).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunder enabling it, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of eighteen thousand five hundred pounds authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding balance of a loan of twenty-one thousand two hundred pounds which matured on the 1st day of May, 1932, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence farthing in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seventeen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
That a sinking fund of three pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence per centum per annum be and is hereby established in respect of the said loan, and the amount thereof shall be paid to the Nelson City Sinking Fund Commissioners to be held and disposed of by them as required by law.
