Regulations as to the Granting of Licenses for the Installation, Working, and Sale of Radio Apparatus.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1932.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations, and doth order that they shall come into force on and after the date of their publication in the Gazette; and doth hereby revoke, as from the coming into force of the regulations hereby made, the regulations next hereinafter referred to.

REGULATIONS.

INTERPRETATION.

  1. (a) These regulations may be cited as the Radio Regulations, Title. 1932.

(b) These regulations shall not apply to the Cook Islands or to the Territory of Western Samoa.

  1. In these regulations, if not inconsistent with the context,—

“Admiralty” means the Commissioners for the time being for executing the office of Lord High Admiral of the United Kingdom:

“Aerial” means the electrical conductor or system of conductors used for receiving or emitting electro-magnetic waves:
