Lands in the Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 11th July, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands
will be open for selection in terms of the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands
and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Friday,
26th August, 1932.
The lands may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable
lease.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, 30th August, 1932,
but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the
Land Board of any other district or by any Commissioner of
Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Kawhia County.—Kawhia North Survey District.
SECTION 6, Block XI : Area, 186 acres 1 rood 2 perches.
Capital value, £200. Deposit on deferred payments, £10 ;
half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £6 3s. 6d ;
renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £4.
This property is situated on the Oparau-Kinonaku Road,
one mile and a half from Hauturu Post-office, one mile from
Hauturu School, four miles and a half from Oparau Dairy
Factory, three miles from Oparau Saleyards, and forty-four
miles from Te Awamutu Railway-station. Access is by
metalled road from Te Awamutu.
Easy undulating section, of which approximately 40 acres
have been felled and grassed, but have now reverted to second
growth, 25 acres swamp land, and the balance of 121 acres
in its natural state, comprising fern, kumarahau, tutu, and
a little manuka.
The soil is a light to medium loam resting on clay and
sandstone formation.
Well watered by running streams and the Awaroa River.
Undeveloped section which, when fully developed, should
prove suitable for dairying and grazing.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Rotorua Survey District.
Section 20, Block XIV : Area, 135 acres 1 rood 2 perches.
Capital value, £75. Deposit on deferred payments, £5 ;
half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £2 5s. 6d.;
renewable lease, half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Weighted with £1,460, for improvements consisting of
dwelling of five rooms; outshed; pig shelters and runs;
cow-byrre (eight stands, engine and separator rooms (concrete
floor), concrete yard), three yards and dehorning pen ; large
corrugated-iron shed; small yard and race; two concrete
cisterns; and fourteen troughs with piping connected;
50 chains boundary fencing; half-share 100 chains boundary
fencing; 290 chains subdivisional fencing; trees and hedge
enclosure; 48 chains plantations ; 132 acres felled, of which
100 acres has been cleared, stumped, and grassed; and 32
acres surface-sown.
This sum may be paid in cash or by a cash deposit of £35,
the balance (£1,425) being payable over a period of fifteen
years by half-yearly instalments of £46 6s. 3d.(computed in
accordance with a table of repayments over a period of
thirty-four years and a half at 5½ per cent. interest), the
amount outstanding at the expiration of that term to be
payable in cash.
This property which was formerly part of the Mamaku
Experimental Farm is situated on the Mamaku Experimental
Farm Road, one mile from Mamaku Post-office, School, and
Railway-station by a formed road, part metalled, part sanded,
and eleven miles from Ngongotaha Dairy Factory and Sale-
yards. The land is undulating, and of fair quality.
Approximately 100 acres have been stumped, ploughed, and
grassed, the balance being surface-sown bush clearing.
Practically the whole area is ploughable. Subdivided into
twenty-eight paddocks.
The soil is a light pumiceous loam resting on rhyolite rock
formation. Watered by reticulation from cisterns. Altitude,
1,850 ft. to 1,900 ft. above sea-level.
The section is suitable for dairying and grazing.
NOTE.—The selector may be able to augment the present
water-supply by making arrangements with the Department
of Agriculture to be supplied from the Experimental Farm
adjoining, on terms to be arranged by him with that Depart-
ment.

Sections in the Town of Westport, Nelson Land District, for
Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 11th July, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
will be offered for lease by public auction at the Lands
and Survey Office, Nelson, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 17th
August, 1932, under the provisions of the Westland and Nelson
Coalfields Administration Act, 1877, and Amendments, and
the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN OF WESTPORT.
SECTION 51, Block III, Kawatiri Survey District: Area,
1 rood 20 perches. Upset annual rental, 10s. Situated in
the Town of Westport.
Section 871, Town of Westport: Area, 33.5 perches.
Upset annual rental, £1 13s. Situated in Salisbury Street.
Term of lease: Twenty-one years from 1st January, 1933,
with perpetual right of renewal for further successive terms
of twenty-one years.

Education Reserve in Nelson Land District for Lease by Public
Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned
Education Reserve will be offered for lease by public
auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, at
11 a.m. on Wednesday, the 17th August, 1932, under the
provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the
Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and Amendments.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—OPARARA SURVEY DISTRICT.
SECTION 25, Square 152, Block XIV, Oparara Survey District:
Area, 4 acres 3 roods 8 perches. Upset annual rental, £1 10s.
This section is situated on the north bank of the Karamea
River, about 20 chains from Market Cross, and practically
opposite the overflow bridge. The section is flat and the
soil is of good quality.
Term of lease: Twenty-one years, with perpetual right of
renewal for further similar terms at rentals based on fresh
valuations.
Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained
at the office of the undersigned.
