REPAYMENT LOAN, 1932, OF £152,750.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Finance Act, 1932, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £152,750 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Loan”) authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purposes, namely:—

To repay those of the special loans mentioned in the Schedule hereto which mature after the said loan-moneys are available;
-
To repay the Union Bank of Australia, Limited, the moneys advanced by it to the Council for the purpose of repaying those of the special loans mentioned in the Schedule hereto which matured prior to the 1st day of April, 1932;
-
To refund to the District Fund of the Council the moneys expended and drawn therefrom for the purposes of repaying those of the special loans mentioned in the Schedule hereto which prior to the date hereof have been repaid by the Council by moneys drawn from the said District Fund;

To refund to the said District Fund the moneys which, pending the said loan-moneys being available, may hereafter be expended and drawn from the said District Fund for purpose of repaying those of the special loans mentioned in the Schedule hereto which mature prior to the said loan-moneys being available; the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and two-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North comprising the whole of the City of Palmerston North:
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
SPECIAL LOANS RAISED IN THE YEAR 1922.
(a) The Palmerston North Public Works Loan of £14,500, being portion of a loan of £39,500.
(b) The Palmerston North Municipal Building Sites Loan of £1,550.
(c) The Palmerston North Sewerage Loan of £23,000.
(d) The Palmerston North Borough Bus Loan of £8,000, being portion of a loan of £10,500.
(e) The Manuwatu Gorge Contribution Loan, 1922, of £1,600.
(f) The Palmerston North Borough Council Antecedent Liability Loan, 1922, of £32,000.
(g) The Palmerston North Roading and Stormwater Drainage Loan of £6,000, £2,000 of which was raised 1st August, 1922.
(h) The Palmerston North Borough Loans Repayment Loan, 1922, of £84,000.
SPECIAL LOANS RAISED IN THE YEAR 1923.
(i) The Palmerston North Borough Roading and Stormwater Drainage Loan of £6,000, £4,000 of which was raised on the 1st February, 1923, the said sum of £6,000 being portion of a loan of £70,000.
(j) The Palmerston North Borough Council Stormwater Drainage Loan of 1922 of £3,150, and The Palmerston North Borough Council Stormwater Drainage Loan (No. 3), 1925, of £1,850, making a total of £5,000, being part of a loan of £11,000, the latter amount being portion of the original loan of £70,000, plus £7,000, representing 10 per cent. thereof.
