T is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed

Percy Douglas Hope, of French Pass, to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes of Part I of the first-mentioned Act.

Sub-Lieutenant James Andrew Smyth to Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), to date 10th May, 1932. Sub-Lieutenant Norman Goodlet Daysh to Acting Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), to date 1st June, 1932.

CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Lieutenant B. R. Winstone, Regimental Supernumerary List, resigns his commission. Dated 2nd May, 1932.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY'S OWN).

Captain H. S. Harrison, 1st Battalion, to be Quartermaster, with the rank of Major. Dated 29th April, 1932.

2nd Lieutenant A. S. Batty, from the Waikato Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from 22nd December, 1930, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 19th May, 1932.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant H. H. Hickling, from the Waikato Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from 23rd June, 1927, and is posted to the Regimental Supernumerary List. Dated 19th May, 1932.

Lionel Clark to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 8th February, 1932.

THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.

Lieutenant J. P. C. Walshe, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 3. Dated 27th July, 1931.

Lieutenant E. Boulton, 2nd Cadet Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 12th September, 1931.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant A. S. Batty, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own). Dated 19th May, 1932.

2nd Lieutenant H. H. Hickling, 1st Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Hauraki Regiment. Dated 19th May, 1932.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant H. J. Dalzell, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 12th May, 1932.

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant P. G. Stevens, 2nd Cadet Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 19th February, 1932.

2nd Lieutenant H. J. Dalzell, from the Wellington Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant with seniority as from 10th February, 1928, and is posted to the Regimental Supernumerary List. Dated 12th May, 1932.

THE HAWKE'S BAY REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant (on probation) E. W. Bilham, 1st Cadet Battalion, is confirmed in his appointment, dated 14th December, 1930, ceases to be posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion, dated 30th April, 1932.

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

Lieutenant W. A. T. McQuire, 1st Composite Company, to be Captain. Dated 10th September, 1931.

2nd Lieutenant F. Carpenter, 2nd Composite Company, to be Lieutenant. Dated 19th December, 1930.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Lieutenant N. C. Speight, M.B., Otago University Medical Company, to be Captain. Dated 20th September, 1931.
