Weighted with £610, for improvements consisting of a dwelling of six rooms in poor condition; milking shed and yards; small shed; 420 chains boundary and subdivisional fencing; bridge; 430 acres felled and grassed (affected with ragwort). This sum is payable to the Superintendent, State Advances, in cash, or over a period of thirty years with interest at 6 per cent. by half-yearly instalments of £22 1s. (free of interest for a period of two years from date of selection).
Grazing property, situated on the Kopaki-Waipa River Road about seven miles from Kopaki Post-office, Railway-station, and Saleyards by a metalled road. Four miles from Mangaokewa School. Cream is collected at the Kopaki Railway-station depot.
Undulating to hilly and broken section, of which 430 acres has been felled and grassed, but is now reverting to second growth, while the balance is in its natural state, in standing bush.
The soil is a light loam resting on sandstone and rhyolite formation. Watered by running streams. Subdivided into ten paddocks.
NOTE.-This section is suspected of being "sick."
Sections 4 and 6, Block XI: Area, 954 acres 2 roods 16 perches. Capital value, £675. Half-yearly rent, £13 10s. Exempt from payment of rent for a period of five years after payment of the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent (if any), and lease-fee.
Weighted with the sum of £725, for improvements consisting of a four-roomed dwelling (fair condition), sheep and cattle yards, 160 chains boundary fencing, 340 chains subdivisional fencing, and 700 acres felled and grassed (now partly reverted). This amount may be paid in cash or by a cash deposit of £40, the balance (£685) to be secured on mortgage for ten years on terms to be arranged.
Grazing property situated on the Mangaokewa Road, three miles from the Mangaokewa School, and seven miles and a half from the Kopaki Railway-station, Saleyards, and Dairy Factory by metalled road. Approximately 700 acres felled and grassed (now partly reverted) balance natural state, bush, and scrub. There are about 60 acres along the road frontage, steep and broken, but the balance is easy undulating country, the soil being a light loam and pumice, resting on rhyolite and sandstone formation. Watered by running streams. Ragwort requires attention.
NOTE.-This property is reputed to be "sick."

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Timaru, on Tuesday, 5th July, 1932, at 1.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.-GERALDINE COUNTY.- KAKAHU SETTLEMENT.
SECTION 4c, Block XII, Opihi Survey District: Area, 20 acres. Upset price, £690.
Situated on the Hilton-Geraldine Road, about three-quarters of a mile from Hilton Post-office and about eight miles from Winchester Railway-station. Access is from Geraldine, about five miles and a half distant, by good gravelled road. Fairly flat, but part broken by gully, soil being fair average quality on clay formation; watered by dam. At present 4 acres in good pasture, 4 acres in worn-out pasture, 3 acres homestead, and 9 acres ploughed. Improvements that go with the land comprise wooden dwellinghouse and lean-to, washhouse, shed, rough stable, 25 chains road-boundary fencing, dam, and plantation. The dwelling, containing 6 rooms, bathroom, and verandah, is built mostly of Pinus insignis timber, is scrimmed and papered, and has electric light and hot-and-cold-water service installed. Portion of the boundary fencing has been erected, and the purchaser will require to complete his share of the fence. Property suitable for a worker's home.
