Land in Hawke's Bay Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 25th May, 1932.
N OTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 8th June, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 9th June, 1932, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Hawke's Bay County.—Mocangiangi Survey District.—Native Land Settlement Account.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for eighteen months.)
Section 2, Block 1: Area, 1,384 acres. Capital value, £1,200. Half-yearly rent, £30.
After payment of first half-year's rent, lease fee, and broken-period rent (if any) no further rent will be charged for a period of eighteen months.
Weighted with £900 for improvements, consisting of three-roomed dwelling, wool-shed, yards, fencing, orchard, and plantation. This sum is payable in cash, or by a cash deposit of £50, the balance remaining on instalment mortgage, term 36½ years, interest 5 per cent., to discharged soldier; and 34½ years, interest 5½ per cent., to a civilian.
The land is situated on the Matahcura and Flat Hill Roads, and is seven miles from Tuturu Post-office by good metalled road from Napier-Wairoa Main Road. Watered by good permanent streams and springs. The soil is light loam resting on 6 in. of pumice sand. Altitude from about 550 ft. to 1,100 ft. Open pastoral country, with about 160 acres easy ploughable flats and slopes. Subdivided into six paddocks. Suitable for sheep-farming although dairying to a medium extent could be carried out. Cow-grass is established on the flats.
